Storage Hunters
I watch the show every now and then and on last night's new show one of the storage units that got auctioned off had a silver RS in it. It was on a jack with the front wheels off. Wheels got put on and the guy rode it right out of the storage unit. Really hope it wasn't a member here who lost their ryde. It had a black spider decal on the rear fender.

It's the episode titled Rhinestones and Thrones

Do you have any idea where the episode was shot?

Hmmm. I'm wondering if this isn't one of those "staged" episodes, e.g., the show's gotten in trouble lately because of reports that the producers plant goodies in lockers to make for compelling television. Unless they're *actually dead*, I just can't fathom what kind of person leaves a $10K++ late-model bike in an abandoned storage locker (one would figure that anyone in financial trouble bad enough to force them to abandon a storage locker would be wise enough to first sell the very expensive vehicle stored in that locker!).

Have to agree..!!
there could be some explanation for it but not likely...

Yea, Right , I owe a few hundred dollars in rent , So I'll abandoned thousands of dollars of goods.
Maybe once, But not every week and 3 different shows each week.
But i do if you believe it have the deed to a bridge that my Grandfather bought back in ''29'', Locked in a storage unit, and i can't afford the rent on the unit and I'm to busy to to remove it before i go in arrears.
Just like Pawn stars, Does anyone realy think that people are walking around the streets of Vegas with all that stuff, The producers have spotters looking at Craigslist, E bay etc, When they find something that looks interesting they have them come on the show. Good entertainment, But Well there's just too many gullible people in this country, And those shows are feeding into them.

I believe it was shot in CA.
I watch TV mainly to relax and for entertainment. I don't care whether these kind of shows are real or staged. If I wanted to analyze every part of it I would much rather spend the effort doing that at work where I get paid for it. To me it's entertainment, so I just go with it so to speak. Watching something for entertainment purposes doesn't mean one believes the show to be real, or fake for that matter. It's for ENTERTAINMENT. One should remember that just because others don't view things they way they do, doesn't make them gullible.

Someone who quits paying the rent on a storage unit most likely also quit paying the bank for the Spyder in it.

Gibson made 4 and 6 pedal steel guitars in the mid 50s, model EH630 and EH620. They also made lap steels and console steels as well. My late mother in law played a "Hawaiin" lap steel which my brother in law still has. It still plays and the amp is a tube type amp.

I only watch the bike building shows... for the bikes!!

Bruiser: Thank's for the info about the Gibson pedal steel. That was a totally new one on me, and I thought I knew a little bit about them, since I have been a player since the mid-70,s.
I looked up the EH,s and found a couple models. Seem to be from the late 50's. As pedal steels go, very early and crude looking, with an interesting pedal set up. No idea how they sounded though.
