I don't have a diagram, or part number, but the basic text of it is "Honey, will you go out and start the spyder?"

...Which is then followed by "limping" mode!

If you can go around having the key nearby (due to the encoded chip) and pressing the MODE button, then maybe

In 2010 someone posted here a video of a GS that had a remote started (think it was yellow as well), remembering them saying it was very hard and might not worth the trouble. Not sure how far back the posting are kept but you might be able to search and find it.

Re: remote start?
This guy figured it out back in 09 so it is doable

So who's bike is that, and do they have an explanation of what they did with it?
It's good to know that it's possible!

I don't really see the need for remote start, but I do like the alarm setup in that video...

Re: remote start?
Not sure who's bike it is I ran across the video not to long after it was uploaded to youtube the alarm is nice this was back when there were few systems available for the spyder. I have a Scorpio on my 08 GS with a perimeter sensor and it hasn't let me down yet, works perfect to deter those curious parking lot people who think its ok to throw there leg over my spyder

With fuel injection the Spyder is pretty much ready to go as soon as it starts, even in cold weather. I don't see much need for remote start, but I see many possibilities for problems if it's in the garage with the door down, or if it's forgotten and left idling for a prolonged period, etc.
