Ultimate Seat
Installed my Ultimate Seat today with rider back rest. Like any new seat it will need to be broken-in. So far though I like it better than the stock RT seat and the Corbin.

Good to hear about the Ultimate seat. I have a tall boy on order and can't wait to get it and install it.

Can anyone tell me is an Ultimate any softer than a Corbin? Tried that and couldn't get used to the hardness and slipperiness of it.

Yes the Ultimate is softer than my old Corbin. My old Corbin was definitely "slippery" as well.

I just installed an Ultimate short with back rest after hearing good things about them on this site. I went on a trip and after a hundred miles I was convinced that it was another waste of money. After 300 miles my opinion had changed to the positive. Byt the second day I was satisfied with it. I don't think it got any softer. I think I got use to sitting in the seat and not sliding around on it like the stock seat and the comfort seat. The back rst is kind of nice too. So overall I would give this a grade of "B".

I have a Temperpedic mattress that needed a break in and as I understand it the Ultimate is made of the same material. In any case, after a couple of hundred mile break in, it does a great job. Next month I am going to run an Iron Butt One Thousand and that will be real test!
One caution - don't let it sit in the direct sunlight without covering it. It hold the heat real well!

Have had several Corbins, and always got rid of them; just to firm. Am on my 4th Ultimate seat on various bikes, and on my RT it is, as usual, by far the most comfortable of the bunch. Put a few hundred miles on them, and your "butt" will love you!!
