    Default Windshield vent installed

It was a little scary cutting in to the windshield, but it turned out ok. I can now adjust to amount of air to my chest and in this hot weather it sure makes a difference. The vent is make for a thinner thickness shield so a little fabrication was needed. (thank you Roto tool)

Great idea! Just what I needed last weekend. I had to take my touring windshield off because I just wasn't getting enough direct air. It's stifling when the temp is in the mid- to high-90s. Can you give more details on the process? Or did you and I missed them somewhere?

Ooohhh... That looks like a very nice addition... How scary was it when it came time to start cutting??? I see that these have also been installed in RT windscreens; I assume that there's no interference with vertical adjustments ...

Put mine on my RT two weeks ago. I do like the extra air in my face, but I do not feel that was the greatest benefit. It eliminated most of the helmet buffeting. This is very evident by opening and closing the vent. I've owned Old Wings without the vent and a K1200LT ,and have always experienced buffeting. This much reduced buffeting makes the ride so enjoyable and less tiring. Huge differencce for me.

Which vent do you recommend the one for the GL1500 to will the GL1800 also work. I do believe there is a difference in the windshields.

    Default Windshield Vent?

I just received my smoke colored GW vent. As most would be I'm quite nervous about cutting into my windshield. Do you have or is there template to follow? I just took another look at it & I guess I can take the inside & outside halfs apart and trace the opening onto the windshield but, a template would be so much easier! If need be I can make it a money making deal for you? TIA Tom
