All the info of when I purchased my New RTS says the color is [B]TIMELESS BLACK[B] but the info Lamonster has posted from the "OFFICIAL BRP PAINT CODES" says DEEP BLACK & Scotty's says TIMELESS BLACK & I see where another forum member had a problem with the DEEP BLACK not matching. I'm wanting to get my new white camper painted to match my Timeless Black RT-S, but am not sure where to start (thinking auto paint shops) or what codes to tell them, as I'm sure they'll need it to give me an
accurate quote/estimate? I added a pic of the trailer, its all white & diamond plate Aluminum shell. I'm not sure if it will appear the same as the Beautiful Timeless Black as it appears on my RT-S or 622 Trailer, see'n as they are plastic. Any clues out there Any info or advice is greatly appreciated.

Sorry I can't really help you, but when Lamont posted that info, it was July of '08,
I'm sure some one will jump in here with the info you're looking for.

BRP's most recent listing of paint codes is shown in this link.

Replicating the paint will require the correct primer or undercoat, the correct additives, and the right amount of a compatible clear coat. Hopefully your painter can sort this out for you...if he can get the BASF paint or a true equal.

Glad I could help. We definitely won't be at Spyderfest...sorry. We hope to make the Owner Event in Maggie Valley, but Nancy needs another surgery, so things are still a bit up in the air.

Sorry to hear that Nancy has to have more surgery and you won't be able to be at Spyderfest. I was hoping I'd get to meet you. Our prayers for Nancy and her doctors. Hope the surgery goes well and she is riding again very soon.

All the best to Nancy, Scott. Sending good wishes out your way. Good find on the paint deal.

I have gone to a couple of Paint Shops and they tried to do a cross reference to any other mfg of paint using the BSAF Orbital Blue 862277 and found no match.
This number must be an exclusive one for BRP/
Now my question is: What happens if I need a panel or part of the spyder painted to factory specs when no cross reference is possible?
1. Order New Panels from BRP and WAIT?
2. Change the color completely?
3. Not worry about the match?
4. Just leave it as is?
5. Find a Paint Dealer to use the Paint matching device hopeing for an absolute match?

I just ran into this problem myself when having my fairing painted. The body shop couldn't find the paint based on the code I gave them. They had to do a color match using "The Prophet" from a panel I loaned them. In my case it's not a big deal since the fairing won't be anywhere near other panels on the Spyder painted blue, but if they were then it would be an issue.

Many paint shops can't convert bike codes into car codes to make the mix. I recently had a panel painted on my red Spyder using a GM color that I eyeballed and the match is undetectable..... and I am picky. It is a Sherwin Williams paint, Torch Red code 70.
