    Doc,

I did a search to try to get back to your review with no luck. Could you get me there?

    Thanks

    Yeah, they are.

I've had a set on order since March 12th. Don't have them yet.

    Be prepared to WAIT.

I ordered mine on April 10th and they're not here yet. I emailed SFB this week and their response was the floorboards have been manufactured and are currently at the anodizer company. They said the boards should be done today and shipped Monday.

Hopefully yours were in the same production run.

    Bummer man....

What's up with companies selling items that are not READY TO SHIP?

    Not cool.

    Spyder #1 - 2008 GS SM5 Premier Edition #1977. RIP after 80,000 miles.
    Spyder #2 - 2012 RT SM5. Traded in after 24,000 miles.
    Spyder #3 - 2015 F3 SM6. Put 13,000 miles on and sold it.
    Spyder #4 - 2017 F3 SM6. Too good of a deal to pass up!

Well, it's a 100% guarantee that when I open my mouth... the delivery notice was in the mailbox yesterday PM, and they're in the car today.

    So... some history:

I did get with them on the phone 2 weeks ago, after 2 weeks of trying. They're a small shop. They do production runs, then setup for other runs. I'm sure they don't have the ability to warehouse a lot of stock. Probably can't afford to.

So, maybe I'd cut them some slack (wait, I did) on that end. It just looks bad when:

    - They charge your card immediately.
(Further my CC company calls me and suspects it's fraud!)
    - Don't answer the phone, don't return calls.
    - Can't make promised deliveries.

Maybe I was the first guy in the line, so I'm waiting the longest. But order now, or you'll be the first guy in the next line.

If I do get them first, I'll trade them for the car you and Virginia were driving at the Missouri Spyderfest! What can I say...I'm just a generous (some) guy!

Some Guy------My order arrived in the USA on the 30 of April----so the wait may be over----or just starting over. The only reason I ordered them was because Doc said they where good---and cool.

If yours comes before mine arrives DO NOT TELL ME.

Well mine got hung up in customs for a long time before i received mine....was not real happy with the lack of info when i bought.....had to pay a customs fee which i was never told about.....plus it took a long time because it was hung up in customs.....which i also was not warned that it could happen....ive never bought anything from out of the country so i didnt know what to expect...a simple explanation when i bought them would have been nice BEFORE i had to get the cia to track them down

When I ordered them they told me that it would be a while before they came.
When I inquired about when to expect them after waiting for a couple of weeks they said that they were waiting for the anodizing which they don't do and it would be a couple of more weeks as anodizer was backed up with other jobs.
Waited two more weeks and asked again and they said they were at the anodizer.
When I got back from visiting kids and grandkids in FL there they were!
Installed this morning in about 5min/side.

Frankly, I could do without the shiney parts and swirlys and just have them anodize them all in black.........but that's they way they are.
If you order them unanodized I expect that you'd get them faster. And if you have a local anodizer then you could have them in any color you like.

    Now for a test ride!

Kinda getting in on the conversation late but have a question that has kept me from ordering them.

Saw Doc's floorboard and footpeg setup. Function and form blended together beautifully. Would blend right into Spydee's look.

The issue is, didn't see any rubber on them. I heard all metal handgrips get slippery in the rain. Wondering what the traction on these floorboards are when wet?

Haven't ridden in the rain with them but they are milled with sharp edges on the floorboards and there are small pins on the pegs that will hold your shoes. I think that they'll be OK in the wet.

There is a lip on the floorboards and the foot is pretty stable during the heavy rain:

Thanks for the replies. Three more reasons to order the SFB floorboards. They are so sweeeet!

Know it might take a while to get them, but worth the wait.

    Default Very frustrating

I wish I would have read this thread before I ordered. I placed my order on the 20th of May, my card was charged on the 25th, and I've called several times since and been provided little information. The people are always polite, but none of the guys I've talked to seem to know much about the orders and the lady that handles shipping is rarely there. They should certainly disclose at the time the order is placed that they do not care to fill your order in a timely manner. I've worked with machinist in the past and they may charge a deposit, but the bulk of the payment is usually levied when the finished product is shipped. Additionally, these machinists were usually able to give me a fairly accurate estimate for completion time.

Oh well, I guess I'll continue to wait. I have no other recourse.

    Sorry to hear that...
Try to call "tricplate" at 954-328-9507, I understand that they sell the SFB floor boards and maybe they know how to get in touch with them...
