Anyone found a Master cylinder kit for 2011 RTS?
I've looked all over, but cannot find a brake master cylinder rebuild kit. Has anyone come across one. I have a 2011 RTS.

Looking at the parts diagram it appears that since the reservoir is separate from the tandem master cylinder BRP doesn't make any kind of kit to rebuild it but will hose you for the individual parts. OTOH, depending upon the problem one needs only to replace the culprit part(s), like a leaking 8 mm hose. Don't see any kind of O-ring seal on the piston rod although it may be an integral part.

otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

Interesting....🤔
Looking at the parts breakdown, I don't see any internal parts at all. All they offer is the tandem master as a unit for $265.00 at cheapcycleparts.com

That's the issue. I want to rebuild the cylinder with new internal components. A typical automobile rebuild kit costs $10 - $15. I just hate to buy an entire unit when it is not necessary.

You could probably source the individual seals but would have to take apart the master cylinder to measure them.
I just looked on Ebay and found that there are several for sale. One from an 2011 RT for $40.
I have just suggested a substitute parts thread where we could share information on non OEM solutions to problems like this. Good luck with your repair and please let us know how it went.

I have found seals even better design, the problem is they are made out to correct material to hold up to brake fluid..

Not that this a great solution but we have a unique shop in my hometown. LINCOLN CLUTCH AND BRAKE SUPPLY. Lincoln NE . They specialize in nothing but parts for hard to find cars trucks motorcycles and they also do repairs via drop off or the internet. I've had several clutch and brake masters from Hondas and Yamaha rebuilt there for cheap. I've never had an issue with and repair. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Linco...=page_internal

I am not sure where I got this info. It may have been from one of our European members.
BOSCH 0204Y21951 0204051440. It is available at the following link: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/...kt09-kt12-kt1s.
This is the rebuild kit for the master cylinder mentioned above, https://www.autodoc.co.uk/frenkit/7817363
Please let us know how this works out.

Great info people, and it's good that it's been added here so others can more easily find it later when searching on these early Spyder brake rebuild kits, I'm not sure it's going to help too much asking how this all worked out now...
While it's good to add helpful info like this, it still always pays to check the date on the first post in a thread and the last few posts before you reply, even if just so you don't expect responses about things that happened years ago and have likely been well & truly over-taken by time & events!
But thanks for the links!
