Side Mirrors with integrated Turn Signals

Looking for a pair of good/excellent condition side/rear view mirrors with the clear/orange lenses with the integrated turn signals (Or just the turn signals themselves).

Will pay a fair price. Please send pics and the asking price.

Thanks Bob. I thought I had read somewhere online, Can-Am used to install those mirrors on older F3 Spyders and discontinued them.

Even if you found the mirrors with the built in lights, and were able to fit them to your F3-S, it would require some custom wiring to make them work.

I recall reading there may be a hole that needs to be drilled for the wiring to pass through... I'm still researching it to see if it's really a viable option.

I don't really care for the other options avaialble online for F3 front turn signal upgrades. I read about their poor quality of components, poor visibility... or I personally just don't like the design.

It may turn out there will be no turn signal upgrades at all for me....

I think I have some mirrors with built in directional light from a 2017 F3s. If you are interested I will go to my storage unit and try to find them.

I believe that your link to Slingmods is showing a "built before Sept 2020" model, or a model built for sale on another continent; often Australia, EU, and Asia have different requirement for vehicle lighting than the Americas. If you take a quick look through the parts diagrams available online, they show two options for rear view mirrors for the pre-9/'20 models; one appears to have a wiring "pigtail" hanging off it and an associated bulb for the Australian market.

I wanted to do the same thing to my 2020 RTL and found that those built for the Australian market incorporated turn signal lights into the mirror housings. All the parts (for my RTL) are/were available at the time, but the cost and work to install was prohibitive. The total was about $235 (USD) per side & $275 for a new main (wiring) harness, plus installation, which, if done by me, would almost certainly void the BRP warranty.

Thanks for that info Dave... during your research, were you able to confirm if the mounts/bolts/bolt patterns are the same for both mirror types (with/without turn signals)?

My Spyder is no longer under warranty, but I also don't want to butcher my nice F3S.

Appreciate the offer... If I find that it's an easy swap, and I don't need to make any major modifications to my 2021 F3... I am interested.

I'm looking for pictures of the base, to determine if the bolts/bolt pattern is the same.

SpyderDave mentioned referencing the parts diagram. If it's a major hassle to install them, I don't want to waste your time by having you run to a storage unit.

If they are in good condition, let me know what you want for them. I may just buy them anyway... I could possibly pull the lense/bulbs/wires out, and modify my mirrors for fitment.

Les if they work out, I think all will need to do is mod some wiring so the directional lights will work. They are free, just pay shipping, if you can make them work and I can find them in my storage unit..

I'll add my academic 2 cents worth...

The F3 and F3-S mirrors made without he integrated turn signals DO have the wire channels in them. The rubber bushing between the light and the panel also have the hole for the wire/connectors to fit through.

Can-Am changed the wiring at some point but you can access all the wires needed from either under the passenger seat or on the right side. There is a CIC and CIC2 connector that provides (among a few other things) both switched 12V power and ground as well as the signals for the left and right flashers.

On the 2023 F3-S the CIC connector wires are as follows in the format "position, Function (wire color)"

Position A - Ground (BK wire)
Position B - +12VDc,Switched (OG wire)
Position C - Brake Light (WH wire)
Position D - Backup Light (PK/BG wire)
Position E - FLASHER REAR RIGHT (BN/YE wire)
Position F - FLASHER REAR LEFT (GY/PK wire)

I disconnected the CIC from CIC2 and pulled the harness out the right side. The harness will include the rear customer accessory connection and another 3 pin connector. With the wires hanging out, it is easy enough to access the wires and splice into them to access the wires needed.

I'd personally find some blinkers to install and wire them up myself, don't let anyone tell you you cant add them. lol

I was happily surprised to see that all I really need are the turn signals themselves, since I can remove those blank caps on the mirrors, and route the wires through the pre-cut/drilled factory holes.

I'm trying to find a pair. I found an OEM part number, but I can't find the parts available online anywhere.
