Can-Am Models Should be Required to Have an New Owners Warning!
If I would have known, if there had been some warning!
I got my first Can-Am Spyder F3 Limited just a few weeks back and now I am a poor (but happy) man. Why are there no warning telling of how much you enjoy it and how much money you will spend on upgrades and accessories. They need to have a waring stating something like.
"WARNING ownership of a Can-Am will result in extended smiling and joy. Please take caution and ensure your bank account has the needed funds for more accessories than any human needs. May cause prolonged exposure the fresh air and sunshine. Do not become a Can-Am owner unless you are prepared to give up being lazy and get out and have amazing times."
Formosa AZ01 165/50/R16's on PPA Recluse wheels up front
General Altimax RT43 215/60/R15 on factory rear Primary exhaust: RLS Cat delete w/ his baffle; secondary, custom built w/ Flowmaster HS2
Suspension: BajaRon swaybar (highly recommended!), M2 coil-overs, front & rear (also highly recomended!)
Extra LED lighting and misc. to suit my needs/wants
Actually, every (2-3 wheels) ride I've owned needed that caveat. Have never found a 'complete' package out the door. Need to add 10%+ for suspension & farkles usually.
But I try to get out and put some rides in first.
I am retired and not a Millionaire.
So I make a list of what I would like to improve with add-ons.
Get costings..Yikes!
Then I rate them as to importance and affordability.
For instance I would like some better suspension for the mad few minutes through the twisties now and again,
but that aint occurring anytime soon.
Got my top rated things completed and spending mostly on gas these days.

If you want to explore the potential for suspension mods further, you might want to check out IKON Suspension Iso
Waaay Better than stock, and much of the a/mkt range too; somewhat cheaper than most of the big names; got some good gear for Spyders (you might need to ask them rather than just check out the cataldogue tho! ) and it's an Aussie based company, so it's almost local for you!
Anything with wheels, a motor, or female can put a smile on your face and empty your wallet.
They can also put a frown on your face and still empty your wallet.

Ride more, worry less.
Don't create a garage queen!
I see a lot of Spyders for sale on FB - low to no miles and plenty of accessories. It is not uncommon to see a 10 year old Spyder with 5k miles or less with many upgrades - asking way too much because they say it is like new.
Love my Spyders

I read a stat one time about new Goldwing owners will spend $3500 on accessories/goodies the first year of ownership. I imagine same principle is with most motor toys.....
Don't get mad at me if you don't like my answer.....
Does not hold a candle to the money one spends on the Side by Side UTV!!!

I'm poor now, but my Can Am Spyder is doing great!
My Can Am now has all my money, it was bound to happen! How could I resist getting her all dressed up, I added the Top Case rack, to show off her rear end! and don't forget what goes underneath, I got the fitted top case bag and the fitted frunk bag.
We are taking our first weekend getaway on our Spyder and I may have gone overboard on travel accessorizing.
This will be our longest ride to date, I've been working my way up to longer rides (health issues) and this one should be fun. We are heading up to Prescott, AZ and the weather should be beautiful.
My two Spyders do not hold a candle to my Kawasaki KRX 1000 Side by Side in vacuuming up funds!

I just bought my first Can-Am Spyder. I am waiting for it to get fixed, bought it for a good price because it was broken lol. However, I have already spent $400 on upgrades and I haven’t even been able to ride it on the road yet! Just like all my vehicles I can’t leave anything stock, but this will sure be a fun adventure!
I just wish it would stop raining so I can actually get my Spyder out of the garage.
It's raining right now.
Thunderstorms forecast for the next two days, then showers until Saturday night.
The good news is that next Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday are supposed to be Mostly Sunny and low to mid 70s F.
So unless things change, come Sunday I'll be getting some Wind Therapy!
on my 4th year with my F3L.. love it.. 4 rides so far this yr. had some nice days here in NE pa. but not so good now, so waiting for 60 degrees or warmer.. lol.. enjoy your spyder.. best thing i did was sway bar and replace front tires, no more shaking mirrors.. tracks straight and no handle bar wobble.

I have now had my Spyder F3L for a about a year and I don't love it like I first did, I love it much more now!
The more time I spend on it the more I enjoy it. I have had a lot of fun keeping it looking good and of course buying every accessories I can think of like a crazy person. I recently added a trunk rack and am getting rear armrest this weekend.
My wife and I have found our Can Am rides to be a wonderful activity for us.
I also lost a bit over 50 pounds in the past year and that has made a difference in how I sit on the F3L and made riding more comfortable. It just keeps getting better.
