Default Does anyone own a Spyder AND a Ryker?

I know a lot of motorcyclists who own multiple bikes. I'm curious if there are any Spyderlovers who own both a Spyder AND a Ryker?

I have a new Spyder RT Limited that I like a great deal and am getting comfortable on. I did take the Can Am 1-day course and it was conducted on Rykers. That was a very different riding experience.

My RT feels like a big, touring machine where the Ryker felt like a Go-Kart on steroids -- and that wasn't a bad thing! But it was a very different experience than the RT.

I'm curious if anyone has BOTH and if so, how does that work for you?

We own several Spyders and a Ryker.

I would agree with your assessment of the 2 rides. The F3 is more of a luxury sports car somewhere between the Ryker and the RT. My 2008 GS is another experience from the other 3. They all have their attributes and negatives. I enjoy them all.
Only SLOW people have to leave on time...

Agree on three of the four. Have not owned a Ryker...so have to trust those who do. I had the first 08 GS delivered to a customer in AK. My opinions on that one were: "crotch rocket." It had lots of "get up and go." I turned mine into a RT cruiser in the two years I owned it. It looked like one...but it still drove like a crotch rocket. You can see what our GS and RS looked like today...the spouses was fixed up the same way...see the akspyderman picture on the home page. When the RT came out...(2010), I was very quick to trade it off for the new RT. The descriptions of the RT and F3 stilll stick.

Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.

    Previously : 2008 GS-SM5 (silver), 2009 RS-SE5 (red), 2010 RT-S Premier Editon #474 (black) 2011 RT A&C SE5 (magnesium) 2014 RTS-SE6 (yellow)

MY FINAL TALLY: 7 Spyders, 15 years, 205,500 miles

IT HAS BEEN A LONG, WONDERFUL, AND FUN RIDE.

Your comparisons were right on! I have an 18 RTL Spyder I bought for touring. Unfortunately 2 of my destinations passed away and I found the Spyder just too much for short rides. I bought a 2021 Ryker Rally and just loved it! Perfect for short rides and back roads, but no storage, or stereo. Neither one can really replace the other, but for the fun factor I love the Ryker. But............ I still haven't got rid of the Spyder because every time I get on it I love the ride.
So I guess I am no help at all if you are trying to choose one, but like I said they are totally different rides and one can't replace the other.
