New Spyders shipped missing components.
Just watched The Smoaks on you tube….he goes into brief detail of BRP shipping Spyders to dealers missing “components “which will be shipped to dealers at a later date. I would imagine that’s the reason for delayed shipments………..be sure to thoroughly checking your new ride.
Just saying……….

Its probably the gauges, shocks and DSS like the sleds. They did that all season! It is documented when delivered. Most dealers didn’t even release the sled till the parts came in but mid winter they began releasing them since things were piling up and parts not coming. Many still haven’t got their parts. It should be all documented when the crate arrives.

It is true. But I don't think you'll need to check anything as the dealerships receiving incomplete units are not going to release them until the missing components are installed, tested and certified working. Maybe they are shipping units so you can at least go look at your new Spyder. Supply issues are rampant these days. It's not necessarily BRP's fault. But at least we are moving in the right direction.
My information is that it is electronic items that are delayed. I'm not sure if this means computers, radios or what.

my .02, being in manufacturing during this time of global logistics nightmares, they are shipping the incomplete units to dealers so BRP doesn't have to store them. I'm not 100% positive, but think of it this way - BRP is using the dealers as on off-site warehouse to store the units until the parts arrive.
I continue to hope they don't cancel pre-ordered units. I just let a 2021 go near me because I have a deposit on a '22.

I think this goes back to the BRP fire in Mexico although they said it only affected ATV's and SSV's they couldn't exactly say what other parts were made there.

I know in my case it's the electronics coming out of Asia that's holding up the repair on my RT.

Could it be the chip shortage, also, causing the delays, like the automotive manufacturers?

Im in same boat here. Dealer got the bike a month ago, but still no back up actuator etc.

Don't worry, they're coming. Mine took 40 days or so according to the dealer.
