Default Recommend/suggest Bluetooth for single rider?

I am looking for bluetooth for me to use as a single rider. I want something that will play music from my iPhone, allow me to receive and make phone calls, and will give me driving directions from my iPhone. I think I have it narrowed down to the Sena Smart HJC 10B or the Cardo Freedom 1+. Ant thoughts on these two units or any other suggestions?

To my way of thinking you can’t go wrong with talking to Motorcycle Dave. He’s a sponsor on this site, he sells Sena and he will give you an honest appraisal (pros and cons) of both units. He’s a very nice man who is easy to talk to.

Since you don't need a communicator, any BT handsfree headset is good enough.

Get a cardo pack talk bold excellent audio for music and phone calls and GPS. I had a sena no comparison against the cardo with JBL speakers.

I got a Sena 50r from Dave and I love it... and so does the wife when she calls to check where I am at. Nice clear calls and I am using the little stick on mic inside a full helmet. It also has a built in FM radio.

Before I hooked up my charging port , I would use the fm radio on the sena to save power on my phone.

I have the Sena SMH5 bluetooth that allows me to do all of that. I use an Android phone and my nav app is WAZE but it still gives me voice turn by turn while I'm riding and allows me to listen to my music when no directions are being given. Works great for me, but it's not the latest and greatest model.

The packtalk is the way to go. The noise canceling is about 10x better than it was on the sena 20s. The app sucks but i dont really use it after set-up.

Cardo Freecom 2x is what I would get as a single rider. The JBL speakers are well worth the price difference for a single rider since u are listening to music. Alot of people will tell you Sena. You won't find a single online review that says Sena is better than Cardo.

I recently purchased the new Sena Spider RT1. It has some of the features of the 50 series, including great speakers. I use it for music and interfacing with my gps, but has mesh, so would work with other riders who have the Sena mesh system.
