Default Looking for Central Florida roads - any recommendations?

I have recently moved to Central Florida from New York. I am near Leesburg which is roughly halfway between Orlando and Ocala.

I know I won't find roads like upstate New York or my beloved Blue Ridge Parkway, but have found some decent roads through the Ocala National Forest. Running out of roads that I can find on my own.

Any local riders or riding groups that can help direct me?

    Thanks...
    Walter

Highway 40 that runs east and west across Ocala National Forest and any of the loop roads north of it which run through small towns. The roads running just west of Lake George which have a lot of interesting places to explore. Most of the roads are in good shape. Not any real twisties like you find in the mountains, but some great scenery with sand dunes, natural springs, and camping areas. If you try to ride at night, be prepared to eat a lot of bugs.

Try to locate a local chapter of Southern Cruisers Riding Club. They will have planned rides and know the best roads, as well as places to eat. Southern Cruisers is not a brand specific club, nor do they frown on trikes.

Take hwy 19 up through Ocala National Forest to Palatka. Then take 17 south through Palatka on the East side of Lake George and make a complete circle. It would take to you almost all day.
