Any recommendations for a hitch for 2019 F3 Limited
Looking for recommendations for hitches , I’m looking to get a small trailer to haul camping gear. I’m hoping to go on a trip or 2 next year.

Your best bet is getting a BRP hitch. It comes with everything you need to tow your trailer.
2020 Chalk, RT Limited, Dark and matching RT622 trailer and BRP hitch. BRP Drivers Backrest, Auxiliary Light, Garmin Zumo XT, GPS Support, RT Rear Panel and Travel Cover. Spyderpops LEDs on fenders, mirrors, saddlebags, top case and RT rear panel. Spyderpops Rock Guard. BajaRon Swaybar, Wolo Bad Boy horn, Freedom Windshield, Elka Shocks.

BRP, best choice. I've seen photos on this site of aftermarket hitches that have failed. Remember, the hitch attaches to the swing arm and therefore takes a hell of a beating. That beating will also transfer through the coupler and the trailer tongue to the trailer and its contents. So, pack appropriately and don't pop a Pepsi immediately after you stop and take one out of the ice chest.

It depends on your skill level. A kit from BRP is your simplest option and it's a complete option. Also the most expensive. If you have good mechanical skills. You can buy a good aftermarket hitch, mudflap, hitch ball, wiring harness. All as individual parts, from several vendors. There are multiple options for each part. Some are not as good as others. You will save a few dollars.

I have this one, love it. High quality, solid, and much less costly than BRP.

I have the BRP hitch on my F3-T which includes everything you need, wiring harness/control module, hitch, mudflap and hitch ball. The hitch is also easy to remove if you don't want to keep it on your Spyder all the time. I like the look of the F3 without the hitch and remove it when I don't use my trailer. I use the trailer for trips that are longer than 5 days which is a couple of times a year, I mount bags on the back seat for trips less than 5 days.

I’ll probably go with the BRP unit just because it comes with everything needed and it won’t hurt the warranty. Iv been wrenching for 30 + years so that’s not a problem. Just need to shop around and find the best price for one. So far $569.99 is the cheapest Iv found for the BRP hitch kit.

BigBikeParts now make their trailer hitch for F3T/LTD for $299.95. I'm thinking about one...........but then there's the trailer I don't have.............
2020 F3L; gone but not forgotten are all the good miles!

Just so you understand. The BigBikeParts hitch is a good hitch. I have one that I had on my STL that is in the garage somewhere. It worked very well. But it is not complete for hauling a trailer. You still need wiring, mudflap and hitch ball. You will need to cut the mud guard on the F3L for clearance.

I have a 2019 F3L
I did install the hitch from big bike parts- it stayed on for a 1600 trip. When I got home, I took it off and put on the BRP- far superior in quality- the hitch arm is supported by rubber chassis bushings- equal smooth ride-far better than the prior. You wanna play, you gotta pay.

Another vote for the BRP however the module can be troublesome. Earlier ones had grounding issues not sure if is completely resolved as mine had a blinker cut out & interfered with the rear blinker on the bike. Replaced with one from eBay https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F183520738273 & no problems. Hitch itself acted as a crumple zone protected rest of bike when had an unfortunate incident.IMG_6302.jpg the blinker fault maybe from the incident but was issue in the module, the connections were undamaged.

The BRP hitch is stronger structurally than the Big Bike Parts model shown. I do think that the BBP model is adequate for the max load rating. The BBP's also doesn't look to have the nylon shim pads that the BRP model has for cushioning against the swing arm. You can always look around for a used one. I found a BRP hitch in like new condition for $25 and that included free delivery.
