convert F3-S to F3-T?
It seems the biggest difference is the saddlebags and windscreen. Is it possible to add CanAm saddlebags (not 3rd party bags) to an F3-S?

Can Am sells Shad bags that will fit your F3-S
They each hold a fullface helmet.
The F3-T has a different swing arm so no just bags is not true. You can use a Can Am trailer hitch.

Why?
Find a dealer that has a F3-T and work out a trade!
Anything converted looks like it was converted. There are a lot of differences that are to recognize!!!

A member here has converted the front of his F3 to that of the F3T/F3L and it looks factory. I don’t think that there is anyway of adding the factory cases to yours though.

An interesting project if you can work it. In most cases, it will generally cost way more by adding "parts" to get a certain look, compared to OEM.
Others are also right when they say the final results can vary.
In the beginning...(now there's an interesting statement )...I changed our 2008 and 2009 RS/GS into RT's....before they came out in 2010. I ended up buying a 2010 Premier and traded in the 08. I lost my shirt on the trade, those $6K of accessories were worth zilch.
It was a fun ride while I had it though. Worked for me.
Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.
Previously : 2008 GS-SM5 (silver), 2009 RS-SE5 (red), 2010 RT-S Premier Editon #474 (black) 2011 RT A&C SE5 (magnesium) 2014 RTS-SE6 (yellow)
MY FINAL TALLY: 7 Spyders, 15 years, 205,500 miles
IT HAS BEEN A LONG, WONDERFUL, AND FUN RIDE.

Yup ... Radio/speakers you can't hear above 65mph. A helmet with BT audio a much better option...

The radio is actually an option on the F3T. You can get it without the radio. I have the radio on my 2016, and I can hear it very well at any speed.

Considering the postage stamp-sized saddlebags on our F3T, I'd think more about seeing if I could add the F3T front end body panels to the F3S and stick with the Shad bags that work with the S.

ABQ is correct, you would need to change the swing arm. I personally like the Shad bags better than the T or L. They have more room, plus it’s a lot less Tupperware on the rear end & cleaner looking. Adding the front console upper half to become a T or L isn’t that hard or expensive if you look at the cost between the models.

I really like your top case setup JS3535. I looked for that Formed Support, and Can-Am no longer makes it. I amy just have to make my own.
Cheers

That's what I did. It turned out great using aluminum I purchased from McMaster Carr.

Isn't it weird that in AMERICA our flag and our culture offend so many people......

I have health issues which I must ameliorate by air control. I have an F4 tall shield (no vent) + F4 hand wings + Slingshot side extenders + Moparty xcreen clone up top. Until I added the Moparty that was true. Now, tho, I can listen at any speed.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like I should just start with where I want to end up - with an F3-T.

Bill...
The S and T have a different chassis rear of the fuel tank. Would not be easy to mount the T saddle bags to the S chassis without chassis modifications. Others have address the swing arm difference.

Don

Yes. Wasn’t really that hard just time consuming & $2500.

Sling mods is coming out with a new luggage rack, top case and saddle bags for the Ryker in early 2020 for around $500. You might take a look at that and see if you think it could be fitted to an F3.

I just mounted shad 36liter "OEM manufacturer" you have to buy mounts and bags separately to get best price

The Shad bags are larger. Do not envy the F3T/L panniers as they are pretty minimal. They do look good...

The one advantage is that you can still get an F3 with a manual shift.
I'm getting the 2020 RTL with the paddle shifter. It seems sacrilegious, but I guess no more than getting a three wheeler to begin with.
I thought of converting the manual shift F3 to a touring rig.
Believe me, I thought hard about it.
If it ain't broke, don't break it.

AFAIK - The vast majority do. But my 2016-F3-T came without radio/speakers/antenna, which was just fine with me.
