I also hear the clicking noise. I took the spyder in for the first service and told the mechanic, he stated that there is definitely a clicking sound but does not know what it is causing it. He said possible from the calipers. Maybe can am should be notified could be another recall.

I wouldnt blow it out of proportion yet. I am not sure there is even a problem with the click sound. As long as you dont notice any problmes with your braking I wouldnt be overly concerned

The braking in my SE5 has always been a little mushy for my taste, although still effective, but a bleed job may fix it.

The ABS system makes a slight rapid clicking sound as it modulates the braking system. This MAY be what you are hearing, and if so, it is normal.

No Mike, it is not a 'continuous' clicking sound, just one click, like if something was somehow loose in the front end, but after many inspections and searches I could not find anything askew down there...

FYI to all following this post. I washed the spyder over the weekend and click and squeal have come back..

I too have had, always, had, this click sound in the front when when applying the brakes and I can notice it mostly at lost speed. Yep, just a click from the front end.
Has anyone actually identified this click? It seems a number of Spyder Ryders have seen it. - Any updates on this, guys/gals, to at least identify it?
thank you.

If you are talking about just a very faint clicking sound, it may be the ventilation holes in the discs as they pass the pads. This is common to all ventilated discs, and is usually only audible at lower speeds.

Thanks for the input Scotty. No, I am hearing only one click from the front end when I apply the brakes and is heard easily when at lower speeds. Once I apply the brakes I hear that one click and I do not hear it again while my foot is on the brake peddle. If I release the brake peddle completely and take my foot off of it for a split second and then re-apply the brake I hear the same one click again from the front end.
thanks

My dealer check 4 Spyders including mine and the test model. All made the click to one degree or another. They called it into BRP. According to BRP it is the brake pad catching the cooling holes in the rotor. I don't know if I believe that.
