New Battery Install Surprise
Today I replaced the original battery in my 2014 RTL. It has never given me any problems. But lately, I noticed the starting was a little slow. So it was time. I have read all the warnings and reasons for keeping the battery terminals clean and tight. But never having a problem, I thought "not me". When removing the battery wires I found the attaching bolts were only HAND TIGHT. And was done by someone with not very strong hands at that. They are now properly tightened with a little dielectric grease and star lock washers. Bullett dodged..... Jim

I do read your posts. And every once in a while good information sticks in my feeble mind. Your recommendation about star washers is the reason they are on now. Thanks Mike...... Jim
