Reverse beeping - anyone located the beeping beeper?
Has anyone located the beeper for reverse?
I want to either disconnect it or smother it with tape to mute it some.

I think it is a safety factor. cueman

I would agree it's pretty annoying and loud but I rarely use reverse anyway.

Yeah, I'm assuming that as well, but I don't how the beeping will protect someone standing right behind you. They would be literally a couple feet behind you and its not like riders don't look behind them when backing up a bike. I can understand a tractor trailer since the back end is 50 feet or more back and completely blind to the driver.
Even if I can mute it some I would be happy. Its louder than my horn! lol

It sounds like lawyers got involved. A rider must have backed into someone and BRP got the law suit for it. Sort of like a gun manufacturer getting sued because someone got shot.

That's interesting I have not noticed any beeping while backing up. 2018 F3 LTD.

My Yamaha Golf Cart has a back up beeper also. One of the first things I disconnected after I brought it home.

Interesting....🤔
Guess this a recent thing and only involves the Ryker. A search on a wiring diagram may help find it but it could be something you can not get to like the turn signal flasher unit that they built into the instrument cluster....expesive flasher uint....

This is location of beeper. You can overlay it with black tape and sound will be audible but not irritating.

Thank you, that's easy enough.

Tape first to confirm...and then hot glue!!
Just kidding. OK, maybe not.

If you have the windshield the beeper is really loud as it echos off the plastic.
Covering the holes makes it bearable, I would not want to eliminate it completely,
I think its the same beeper that lets you know you forgot the brake, and I'm always forgetting that.

Uh Oh! Just waiting for the recall retrofit for all Spyders now.

can confirm. using tape makes the beeping bearable now and not as loud

I believe only the Rykers have the reverse beep. Dale

Yes, I find that reverse beeper obnoxiously loud. I had some leftover dense foam tape from some forgotten project, so I just cut a round piece from that and completely filled the round speaker hole. It is still surprisingly loud, but much better. I find it humorous that this little beeper is where Can Am must have actually spent some money and acquired a quality part for the Ryker
