I prefer the RV park almost directly across from Coyote Motor Sports. Spread out and lots of room. Large RV park with easy in and out to the sites.

That's close, but pricey. I'm paying $20/night with my Passport at Top of the Hill.

Patty, you owe it to yourself to go first class. I think last time it was $38 and well worth it because of location. That was for a 65 foot
pull through.

their website says it's $42.50 with my 15% Escapees discount for their lowest priced sites. Then they go up to $51.

Its nice to be able to do the routes in a smaller group that can go at its own pace. The guy that led the Three Sisters ride when I went was slow and we had to egg him on to pick up the pace. Then there are those that like going at a slower pace or get separated from the main group for one reason or another. Those folks need to be able to use their GPS to finish the ride they came all that way to do.
Our Rally Ryde Map Book is made up of at least 18 of our local Spyder Ryders favorite rydes in the Hill Country. This map book will be included in the registration packet. We are still putting together the rydes for this year. We go to a LOT of work mapping out these rydes, giving written instructions, GPS coordinates and QR codes for each ryde. No ryde led by a local will have more than 20 ryders. Most rydes last year averaged around 15. Because of the maps provided it makes it VERY easy to form your own groups or go on your own. Yes, the Three Twisted Sisters is an outstanding ryde, but there is so much more to see in the Hill Country and it is very helpful for the locals to share their information with you.

Alamo Fiesta RV park is very nice. It is at exit 543 on IH10. As said, it is across from Coyote Powersports and just down the street from a Wal-Mart and close to a HEB grocery store which is at IH10, exit 540. The rally is at exit 539. I live two miles from Coyote and would invite you folks over but you would have to get up early and help me feed my eight pet deer, four racoons and two feral cats. I trapped them and had them fixed, now they won't leave. You need to talk to my wife's parrot, Buster. Never buy a parrot! We have had Buster 35 years and the bird vet said he would live another 10-15 with the great care my wife gives him. He has free flight in the house. We do not clip his wings, etc. He sleeps in his cage but the door is always open and he has a nice perch to sit on. Hey, he is family.
As I ride with the Hill Country Road Riders to breakfast or lunch every Saturday, we hit the hills west of Boerne. Ya gotta take Hwy 46 west to Hwy 16 then to Bandera, continue on 16 to Medina and Hwy 337 on to Vanderpool then 337 to Leakey. It is Lake-e, not leak-e. Continue 1 mile on 337 to the Frio Canyon Motorcycle Stop. I am sure it is on the ride schedule the Smith's have ready for you when you arrive. Welcome to Boerne. It is burn-e, not born.....ha ha

Just found out the Road Warriors will be staying in Boerne Saturday night of the Texas Spyders in the Hills rally. They will be at the Hampton Inn and Suites

TRAFFIC SUGGESTIONS FOR RALLY
For those Spyders coming on IH35 from the north Texas area, skip Austin, TX. due to heavy traffic 24/7. Come down IH35 and take Hwy 29 west just north of Georgetown. Take 29 to Burnet and take Hwy. 281 south to Hwy 46 at Bulverde and Hwy 46 to Boerne.
The rally headquarters is at the corner of IH10 and Johns Road, exit 539. If you come in on 46 turn north at Main St. and go north about four blocks and turn left on Johns Road. See ya.

Hi George, Do you know if there will be a good place to do some tent camping close to the event?

I cant do it on the SITH Page though probably because I am not an administrator. I did another 200 mi route that has the Guadalupe River road and Luckenback on the same route. Its not hard. If I had one of those Ryde books I could do it on every one of the rides but not at a moments notice at registration. I would need to do it on my laptop at home.
If you are coming to the rally, email your name and home address to spydersinthehills@gmail.com. We should have our 2018 Rally Ryde Map books out of print by late September. We will put one in the mail to you. Hopefully you can work with our webmaster and we can get the GPX files on our website. Does that work for you?

There is very nice tent camping at the Cascade Caverns State Park. Some people stayed there last year and really enjoyed it. See the website www.spydersinthehills.com. it is the last entry on the "Accommodation" page.
