Trip is going great. Been to the Badlands, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse and Mount Rushmore. Weather has been good so far. Also not much traffic. Did take a helicopter tour of Rushmore and Carzy Horse. There are a lot of great roads here. Headed to Sturgis and Deadwood tomorrow. More to come

welcome to the Hills! Don’t forget needles hwy and Iron mt road. Good places to eat around there are Sled Haus, Cheyenne Crossing, Lewies... Devils Tower isn’t too far either.

Due to having to haul my dialysis equipment and solutions with me, I trailer the Spyder to an area and spend 4-5 days riding the roads and parks and then move to the next location. I will go through about 1300 pounds of dialysis solution in a month. On short 7 day trips I can just hook my trailer and go.

Southern Utah
If you get to the Southern Utah area give me a shout out. Be glad to show you around. You really should do Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park. Both are spectacular. Be sure to take Hwy 89 between the two of them as it is a very scenic drive. Valley of Fire down by Vegas is a must see as well. If you get over to South East Utah be sure to do Moab and see Arches National Park, Dead Horse Point and Needles. You won't be disappointed at any of the above.
Ride safe and hope to see ya in St. George.

I will arrive in St. George on June 1st. Would love to hook up.

How long
How long will you be staying in the St. George area? We could cook ya a good home meal on the BBQ as well as show you some sights and ride with ya. I work Friday the 1st until 6 but I'm off on Saturday and Sunday. You haven't have good dutch oven cooking until you have had mine.
Let me know. Would love to show you around our neck of desert.

I will be there both Saturday and Sunday. I do have to be back to my motel by 7:30 - 8 PM so I can hook up to my machine.
-
Lets do it
Lets plan a ride for Saturday at least. I can have you back to the room by 7 and show you a heck of a time. Promise not to wear you out and just enjoy the area and rides. Where you staying at?
I can be reached at 435-705-8772. Give me call Friday when you get in. We can plan the ride for Saturday and I'll give you some options to choose from.

Western Trip - 2018
Trip is going great. Just left St. George, Utah. I was lucky enough to hook up with a fellow Spyder Owner (Dennis Bailey) on Saturday. He toured me thru Cedar Springs State Park, Bryson Canyon National Park and Zion National Park. Dennis and his wife (Terri) had me over for dinner on Sunday. Great people, great time. I also got to visit the Grand Canyon and Valley of Fire, which I found to be the most inhospitable environment. Headed east now and will be home in 10 days.

Thanks for letting me join you
Sure glad I have my backup Kawasaki Nomad always ready. Couldn't believe my Spyder battery went bad the night before you got here with no place to get another one before 7 a.m when we left. Cedar Breaks National Monument, Bryce Canyon NP and Zions NP are hard to beat. 300 miles on two wheels is a little tougher than the 3 wheels I've grown use to, but it was still worth every mile and minute. Always happy to show people around my neck of the National Parks and then a little hospitality with a home cooked meal. Hard to beat dutch oven potatoes and a crock pot roast. Glad you had a good time here in Utah. Terri and I will be calling on you in North Carolina and George in two years when I retire. Thanks for letting us be a part of our adventures.
