2018 RT Foglights
Hi guys!
It seems that Can Am has changed something in the wiring for the foglights. The connector no longer fits the normal LED replacement bulbs.
Does anybody happen to know what bulb they are using now? A picture that shows the difference between the two different types of connectors would also be greatly appreciated!

Bob, does it call out the bulb type in the owner manual?

I would think suppliers of after-market LED bulb replacements would be on top of this.

According to my research. The 2018 fog light bulb is a H8. That's the same as previous years. So you are going to have to be more specific in what does not fit. Picture maybe?

My Dealership tells me that the wiring harness has changed, and the bulbs have a different (wider) plug...
I'm just looking for some verification, and some pictures, so that I can get some LED bulbs to fit...

Little checking.....
According to the breakdown on cheapcylceparts.com there are the H-8 and the HB-3 bulbs being used in the US models... would have to see to confirm but if not one then the other.....

You have that wrong. HB3 for everything except North America. H8 for North America.
Copied from Cheapcycleparts.

There would be no way in hell a 65W bulb would be legal as a fog light bulb.

But it seems that it has changed...
they used to use an H-9 bulb.
Now, they're listing H-8 as the correct one.
We're working on a solution...

H8 should be the correct bulb.
We're working on this...

H8 bulbs have been used for RT fog lights all along. Starting in 2010 to current. Not sure where you got the idea from, that it used to be H9. H9 bulbs are a 65 watt headlamp bulb and not a fog lamp bulb.

Plug
Remove right fog light. Take a picture of the bike side plug. Should fit. Tight fit, but fits.

That's the premise that we're operating under right now...
It seems that a little bit of "wiggle-room", is all that is needed.

I honestly don't know where they're sourced from...
-
The bike and the solution are in Walton at the dealership...
