GoPro Mount
Can anyone recommend what type of mount to use for a GoPro? I have a Hero 5 Black.
I have a 2016 RT Limited. Would like to like to find a stable/secure place to mount on my Spyder with little to no visual obstruction.
Thanks for your help!

when i had my RT, i had the bar from JT's machine shop http://spyderstore.com/index.php?rou...&product_id=51
my go pro 5 like yours was mounted on a RAM ball and mount on this bar. easy to do. can lock it with a kradlelock unit.

+1 JT's or the new TricLED Black powdercoated Spyder Dashbar. Comes with RAM mount balls. Has the word Spyder cut through it.

I use a sticky mount on top of the left mirror. I was really surprised at first how stable the image is. I've been using this method for a little over a year without any problems.

Go Pro Mount
Thanks for the input guys. Ordered the dash mount from spyderstore.com. I was able to get the mounting bracket, ram mount ball, and the GoPro mount all in one stop. I was out under $100 with shipping. Yippee
We're headed to the Spyder rally in the hill country near Austin in 2 weeks. They say there is going to be over 250 people there and 175-180 Spyders. Should get some great pics and video

I use the Ram U bolt mount and have no issues with it.

I hate to correct you, but Austin is near Boerne, TX, (ha ha) home of the Spyder rally Oct. 19-21. We are 20 miles NW of San Antonio on IH10W, actually about 80 miles SW of Austin. We are somewhat concerned about the number of Spyders showing up. What to do with 175+ Spyders riding in our beautiful hill country. Welcome to Boerne. See ya.

Does anyone use the helmet cam? How does the video turn out?

I've yet to capture any video with the Spyder but I use a helmet cam when snowmobiling. This follows your line of sight and gives you much more variety of subject matter than just the road ahead. I've experimented with various stationary mounts and some serve a purpose but for more subject matter I would recommend a helmet mount.

I did the exact same thing with the exact same results. On the left mirror ledge I can (if I have to) reach out and pull it off, but so far I have been pleased with that placement.

I use an ION camera on the helmet and this is one video. Lot of wind noise.
