Default DPS (Dynamic Power Steering) unit still a recall replacement part?

I have a used 2011 RT Limited and there is no doubt that my DPS is shot. doing some history and research I found that BRP replaced this unit under a Recall. I also read a editorial from Cycle World (http://www.cycleworld.com/2012/05/09...g-term-wrap-up) that was posted in 2012 and had that unit replaced more than once. Seeing mine is a 2011 and never had it done, wondering if it is still possible. This would be a crazy expensive fix if I had to pay full price and labor.

    Thanks
    Rich

That recall was only for the 2008 to 2010 models. They had changed the DPS unit for the 2011 model year...
    Sorry!

    RATS!!!

Still love my ride but in the last 3 summers I've put in 3 major repairs that have all cost me a total of about $2000. Frustrating to say the least because I put around 1200 miles a year and it's babied.

It might be worth looking around for a unit off of a wrecked bike...

I certainly could do that if I had the $839.00 to purchase it.
