Love that sound, but it's awful hard to beat the sound of a big round motor, like an R-2800 or R-3350.

    Default Where is this???????

I Know that desert!!!! Reno Air races of course. Every year. Lots and Lots of cool WW11 fighter planes racing a closed course at high speed. It's very cool. Can be dangerous too. There have been crashes. Had one plane hit the grandstands about 6 years ago.

We went to the EAA show in Oshkosh. Saw the only two B-29's still flying and 14 B-25's in the air show. It was 75th. anniversary of Jimmy Doolittle raid on Japan. Many T-28's, T-34's, and AT-6's. Two A-10's and one F-35 Freedom Fighter. Impressive.

The P-51 Mustang is an amazing aircraft. I purchased a ride in this one out of the Ramona, CA airport several years back. The pilot is going through his pre-flight check sequence. That's my dad with the white hat in the back.
