This winter, when I took all the Tupperware off and did a lot of cleaning and checked wiring systems that needed positioning, I decided to try a little insulation on the fuel tank.
I used a couple layers of duct tape, covered by a layer of metal reflective tape and covered pretty much all of the fuel tank. I did not have a fuel odor issue before, but I thought that this may offer a little more insurance. My tank is now insulated a little more.

Gary, I'm sorry, I sent the e-mail to Kdarkman, he is the one who posted his e-mail address when he asked for information.

    Default Dealer installed under warranty

I have a 2012 RT. I complained to dealer about the heat, and he put the vents on for free. No more heat problem.

I bougth a 2011 RT-LTD on November 2016 and I'd like mount the Air Scoop Kit. I will buy in Europe to avoid the problems with taxes and allt he red tape delayiing my orders when they arrive to Spain.

Does anyone have the instructions and the template for installation?. At this time, I rather do this myself. Any help will be deeply appreciated.

    My email address is mcalva@telefonica.net

    Default Info

Check out the thread "Heat recall on other model RT's". On the 3rd page there are list of the parts and on page 4 of 5 there are pictures of the scoops installed.

Installed the Air Scoops on my 14 RTL today. Followed Doc's instructions on the install. Had to get up the nerve to drill the holes that mount the scoops, THEN cut out the rest of the areas. .Talk about Nerve racking. Used a rotozip tool to make the rough cut then a Dremel tool with a sanding drum to smooth out the cuts. Sure glad its done.NOW I have to wait for a dry day to go for a long ride and see how they work .

There was a single part number (219800388) awhile ago, but now the parts must be ordered individually. Check here, https://www.cheapcycleparts.com/oemp...management-kit You will need the parts starting with #149. Don't forget to order Left and Right side.

Whoo, stop. I just found them on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Can-Am-Spyder.../dp/B079S6B78J
