    Default Off the fence

Well I finally made the decision on selling trading or keeping my 2013 RT LTD. It's been a good spyder for me and I have had no real complaints with it. However I fell off the fence and into the F3 pasture! It was kind of a bitter sweet decision, because I really wanted to keep the RT, but finances couldn't allow me to keep both, so I traded my RT and I'm now a new owner of a 2016 F3T Limited Special! This thing is a thrill to drive and I think I will really enjoy it. The 1330 is real responsive. I took a ride yesterday in Central Vermont up through VT Rte 17 out in the Waitsfield area and through the twisties. It certainly was a nice day to be out on a ride. Here are some pics of the new F3T.

Wow, double or should I say, triple congrats to you.

Question, do you have concerns about the Matt black finishes?

I have a 2013 RTL myself and considering the same. My struggle is the wife like to 2 up for short Rydes, not sure of the F3.

I do like the look of the Matte finish, However I must admit, it is real hard to keep looking clean, dust dirt, finger prints everything shows. I did order some matte cleaners and spray detailers to clean it up with and hope that makes things easier. What you don't want to do is use the same detailers that leave a shine or a gloss finish.

I don't do much two up riding, but when I can afford it I plan to get the rear top case with the passenger backrest. Thats big$$$ though, over $1,400.

All their options have killer prices. (It is nice though and makes up for the smaller trunk which I believe is due to the larger engine)

    Default NOT SURE

WHEN I BOUGHT MY 'F3-S' IN FEB. OF 2015, I KEPT MY 'RS' BECAUSE I WASN'T SURE IF I REALLY WANTED THE F3... I ONLY GOT IT BECAUSE OF THE 1330.... AFTER 2 MONTHS OF THE 'RS' SITTING COMPLETELY UNATTENDED, I SOLD IT... IT WAS A NO BRAINER... AND I'VE NEVER LOOKED BACK...

Yes it is! But then again there is graffiti all over that parking area. I think it's just an act of some youngsters keeping themselves from being bored!

The red one in my signature was my 1st Spyder which was a 2008 990 GS SM5. I traded that one for the white RT. I do miss that GS. It was one of the 1st year Spyders back in 2008. I regret not keeping it. I had so much fun with it and met many new friends from being involved in several rides back then.

Gratz you will love it. I went from an rt to an f3s. I ride 2 up with my son and wife alot. Some short and some long rides. I wouldn't go back.

    Enjoy.

On the matte finish a foam glass cleaner works great. On bugs as well.

That's when you're riding with 2 people up on the bike/Spyder.

You know, if you've got a passenger aboard?! I'm pretty sure that's what the 'pillion seat' & 'pillion foot pegs' are for - it makes them more comfortable when you carry a pillion passenger or ride 2up!
