BRP belt tensioner
I was talking with Len at Pitbull the other day and he said that BRP showed a belt tensioner at the dealer show for the F3 that will work on all F3's. He said it was pretty cheap to, under $50.00. That's good news for those that are bothered by the belt vibration.

Should have been on the bike from the get go! At least it's at a decent price so that everyone can afford it. Tom
Baloo is my name. Spyders are my game. Well, it's a doo-bah-dee-doo, yes, it's a doo-bah-dee-doo, I mean a doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee-dee-doo. And, well, now. Ha ha! What have we here?

Right we should not be dealing with this belt vibration issues. I think I will cancel my order to bakerbuilt and wait for the BRP part.

Cool, glad they are working on it. Thanks for letting us know. Post up when you hear the part number for ordering. I'll bring a few into the shop for local customers.

You are correct we are told that something is coming and it takes a long time, but I trust Lamonster, he always get it right.

Can't wait for a part number. Just setting up an appointment for my first service and would love to add a tensioner.

Makes you wonder if BRP intended to have a bad belt design just to get another $50 from us.
By them coming out with this is just admitting there design was faulty off the production line.
Then you have dealers saying that the vibration is normal.
Come on BRP why charge us for something that corrects your bad design......this item should be free.

Let's hope they make one for the Rt.

I guess since Lamont already let you guys know, I can reveal that this is what my wife has been testing for BRP for the last month.
We were approached by our dealer that BRP was looking for testers for their tensioner. She agreed and they installed it. It has worked great since the install. We just did a 3500km trip out to the eastern provinces and my wife says that she didn't feel any vibrations.
I can take a picture of it if you want and post it. When it is on the bike you can't see it because it is hidden behind the side cover.

I took some pictures
Here are some pictures of the tensioner on my wife's F3. I couldn't get the whole thing in the picture because I would have had to take off the side chrome piece that the rails attach to and I didn't feel like getting into that tonight.
I didnt see any numbers on it which is not surprising for a prototype.
It is made of plastic and has a spring on the base of the tensioner to keep the tension.

I lifted it up for you to see it better.

I would say that SmoothSpyder and Baker is probably built tougher.
