    Default head buffering

ok have 13 rs touring windshield.

Had new scoop panels put on for heat issues. They had to take wind deflectors off because of different panels.

Now i get more buffering without deflectors. Windshield 25"

Is there a better windshield or deflectors made for 14 rs. Deflectors would have to be for 14 that is when they put the scoops on

    Thanks

I had the touring shield when I bought my spyder. Buffeting was so bad I could not ride at interstate speeds.

I ended up with a 26" Madstad. I still get a little buffeting at some speeds but I can adjust to resolve.

Interested to hear if the wings will fit or a revised set is available.

Thumbs up To vent or not to Vent--------

A goldwing vent is fairly easy to install in the wind shield and will fill the negative pressure area caused by the upright wind screen at speed. The vent will move the bubble of still air over your head. I have vents (good vents, not just small holes) on both my Valkyrie and the . They work!!

    Default YESS there is

Don't mess around just go get a MADSTAD windshield
fully adjustable up down forward and back, just move it
until the buffeting stops. they are great, I have 2 of them one on my
RS and one on my Honda ST1100.

    Well,
Try this: At speed, move your hand ( only one) around the cockpit and find the still air. This "bubble" of still air will be larger if you fill it with more air from a vent in the windshield. You'll notice the ragged air ( turbelence that causes buffetting) around the edges of the "bubble" . A vent pushes, expands this rough air away from your head.

Spend 2 to 4hundred on a new screen or experiment with a Goldwing vent ( that you can install) for $50.
