Just did mine with the help of Doc's guide. If you are afraid of the marking part call your dealer. They probably received the install kit from BRP withe the marking templates. My dealer offered to mark them if I brought them in. I was going to but in the end followed Doc's detailed instructions (with a few liberties) and all went well.

scoop shapes
With all the talented people on this site i would of thought someone could design scoops with some style. Something functional yet classy. Like the scoop on a 1971 barracuda. I may have kept the 13 if BRP would of thought about appearance as well as function.

I think this is the first negative comment about their looks I have seen. I thought they blended in quite well with the lines of the Spyder, but to each his own. I think yellow Spyders are ugly, but then that's just me!

I agree everyone has their own taste, but this is not the first negative. There were a few of us dissapointed with the looks and or color matching. I'm glad the scoops are out there for people to choose to put on if they like the looks.

Like the Looks OR Not- They lower my Temp from 5 Bars to 4 on a 90 Degree day and I am running 2 Bars in the late fall and winter- I think the engine may freeze up????
I said 3-4 Years ago that those acoustic Panels were CAUSING the heat problems because they COVERED the cylinder heads and Created the heat in the gas tank and crouch Area?
Finally someone listened ???? Now you hear More engine noise BUT your running Much cooler !

that.
I don't cut anything i use the already hole and i remove only the grill , with the scoop the air is force to go inside... when i install it i would not want to mess with cutting anything i try it like that it reduce 5 to 4 bar so i decide to leave it like that.

Hi fatboy i was just looking at some 2015 rt's and it sure looks like they would fit to me the 2015 has the same air deflector and small vent that my 2012 had before i installed the air scoops. maybe you could start a thread and see how many have installed them on their 2015's

Here's a pic of the slickest installation that I've seen so far:

One of the guys that rides with us has a 2015 and put them on his. I followed his lead and put them on my 2014. Didn't really have heat issues other that the glovebox and the scoops have taken care of that.

I have them on my 15 RT and they fit fine, look pretty nice, and certainly work. (keep the center section of the Spyder much cooler on the HOT Florida days.)
