Newbie: A story to tell
My wife and I are/were avid 2 wheel riders. After we moved into the mountains of Colorado we found that the 2 wheelers weren't great on our dirt driveway, uphill, both ways. Soon after we rented a Spyder for Memorial weekend and drove the thing about 26 hours that weekend. That in itself is fantastic, since the most we could do on 2 wheels was about 2 hours. That was 4 years ago and we have been watching Spyders grow ever since. We have been playing in the dirt the last few years and finally decided to take the plunge and bought a new 2015 RT Limited. We take possession in a couple weeks since spring has not come to the Rocky mountains yet.
I have been lurking on the forum and everyone here is great. Thanks for all the information. We are going to go to the Spyder event in St George and are staying at the Temple View campgrounds. Be sure to stop by and enjoy an adult beverage if you are there. First drinks on me.

If you haven't already done so, you can get a patch from the CC Riders Motorcycle Club out of Englewood, CO for riding up a 14,000 mountain on your bike. I did it after the Owner's Event in Durango in 2014. I picked Mt. Evans since the race was going on at Pike's Peak that weekend. You can also qualify by riding over a number of 14K passes.
Take care
