Of course you young guys missed some others that happened also.
I'm 70 next year and I remember all of those except the US specific ones.
We used to have our local baker deliver our bread to us three times a week.
You could hail a bus (out on the rural roads) and the driver would stop for you even between bus stops.
Hitch hiking was safe and was my chosen mode of transport for many years.
We had petrol (gas) coupons allocated to us as we had rationed fuel off and on
right into the early 60s.
Only one TV channel 'til 1955 and then two 'til around 1960.
Kids could walk to school or at least to the local railway station safely.
There was a mobile Fish and Chip shop which visited local villages.
