    Just another newbie saying welcome. 2100 miles in after about 5 or 6 weeks, and having a blast. I ride it most every day. Only driven MY car once since I bought the Spyder, though my wife and I have taken hers a few times when she doesn't want "helmet hair"! I can now take corners at speed, especially around town, and find freeway riding more comfortable than I did at first. GO for it.

    All the prior answers pretty much cover your question. One main difference between the SE and the Manual, there is no hand clutch to pull to let the bike coast while you shift down when approaching a stop. I road 2 wheelers all my life before this Spyder which has the SE6 transmission. Wouldn't go back to the manual for anything.
