Hit a Bear last night !!!!!!!!

Luckily I was driving my car ..... I was doing the speed limit 50 MPH .... Bear came from right side of road from the bushes .... also luckily It was running at probably top speed .... I saw it as it got to the middle of my lane and I slammed on the Brakes. I hit it in it's left side Rump area.... I immed. looked in my left side mirror but it was gone ..... pulled over to check for damage, found a large scuff in the paint and some black hair .... I have a Nissan NOTE and the front is basically a plastic/ rubber compound that covers the actual bumper..... Tried to report it, but the State Police won't talk to you unless it's an emergency .... left a message for Fish & Game ...... I'm one lucky SOB ..... Mike
