when I go to the file and then try to open one of the images nothing happens for me.
Be sure your computer can handle zip files (winzip etc) and it would be best to export any image you want to look at or use first, since they are in a zip file. Right click on the one(s) you want and choose the export option. Take note of where you choose to save them then open them from there. You then need to get them on your phone or tablet wherever you are running fobo if you aren't downloading directly. In the fobo app you need to press and hold on the image of the sypder on the screen that has the pressures. It will give you the option to change the bike photo. Then navigate to where you have the pic and select it.
OP, one thing I have noticed is that the pics are too large to be scaled properly in the fobo app.... it ends up cutting off a good portion when importing.

You have to be doing something wrong then. Many many people have used these with no scaling issues and in fact they are made to be and fit exactly as the stock images.

I found the same problem when applying it to my iphone. I had to resize the "paper" or background to 11x13.9in and that took care of the problem.
Thank you to the original poster for sharing. I didn't even know it was possible to customize that image.

More likely has to do with me using an Android vs iphone....

OK you are losing the transparent backgroud!
How are you transfering it to your phone? You cannot open it in any kind of picture editor, etc as you lose the transparent background.
Some programs that transfer the image to your phone will convert it. Do not use them.
Finally even when you preserve the transparent background, the image will be large until you click USE on the screen. Fobo will then scale it like the picture I show in the above post.
Read this original post. It explains it and you can also see other peoples posts on how they transfered it to thier phone for Android.

Bob, sorry to be a pain
I saved it to the phone in a file, then open and save image. It looks exactly like the screen that was posted but when you hit use the background is transparent, I can move the square around so I can get the whole front end in but it still cuts off the back. any other ideas. I've ran it thru other computers and such with no luck. Im trying to do RT- white
any suggestions
Thanks

The image you posted shows a black background. that means it lost it's transparency. Are you no longer getting that? e.g. you can see the pressure readings around the spyder image?
Are you Android or iPhone?

Bob,
The black background is the way the computer or device tells you that the GIF file you are using has a transparent background.
I'm on iphone 7 too and the image gets cut off to a square by FOBO. Your images are not square, they are rectangular.
GIF files can be edited using image editors such as Photoshop or in my case CorelDraw or CorelPhoto. All there is to do is change the size of the background to a perfect square (see screenshot attached) and then save the file as a GIF with transparency again. Don't flatten it or save it as a JPG so you won't loose your transparent background.

Yes I know the editors as those are what I used to make the images and transparent background GIF. Photoshop. Up until recently FOBO handled them as rectangles and properly scaled them with NO cut off. Phones screens are a rectangle. This is the first I have heard of this new problem. In fact what is odd is a Spyder owner I know just used one on his iPhone 6S+ iOS 11.1.2 no problem (at least he said). Something is amiss.
This is my iPhone 6+ on iOS 10.2 (I am staying on 10.2 now for a reason).
As you see same images no cut off. I am on the latest version of FOBO. So it appears this maybe an iOS 11 thing.
OK BINGO! FOBO changed how it works.
So I had my image set long ago and have not changed it in a long time. When upgrading the FOBO APP the image stayed OK and not cut off. So I decided to load one of my other images just now. BINGO I see it. There is now a box to move the image around in before you click "use".
So FOBO changed how this works... People that had older version and upgraded had no problem as the older version scaled it. This new version does not work the same and thus problem.
In fact I think this is BUG because if you notice you can PINCH the image with 2 fingers and resize it to fit in the box. THAT does not work as when you LET GO it re-enlarges. So they have bug in their PINCH TO SCALE on that screen. You should be able to scale it to fit in the box. Try it and see..
OK I have some work to do and fix all the images I made (like 20 of them).
Stay tuned I will fix them all and update the download. Give me a few days to get the time.
Oh and THANK you for finding the problem. I was going nuts there for a while wondering WTH.....
LOL I found work around but even this has a BUG! You need 3 fingers.
So use 2 fingers and pinch the image to make it smaller and fit in the box. Then using a 3rd finger while HOLDING the pinch to fit in the box, tap the "use".
This works but the scaling is whacked out. The Spyder looks pudgy...
I am going to contact FOBO about this issue as it use to work properly. They have always been good about fixing things. This will save me from having to redo all the images I made. Also if they fix it later, now the images I redid my break again and I would have to fix them yet again.
By the way. All these images I made long ago were scaled and sized to the same size as the STOCK FOBO images they used at the time (I ripped them from the .ipa file). So they broke the software.
Yea but if you look close, the image looks pudgy... e.g. length is reduced more than width.
Bob
i got mine to work. I ran the image thru Corel photo , saved background as square and no issues . Worked perfect , I also cleaned up a line that appeared on the edge .
Thanks Bob and others for all the pointers
