Installing Self Lifting Seat , replacement gas shock
I installed a new replacement gas shock for my seat on my 2014 RT Limited. With this shock, all you have to do is turn your key, and the seat pops up on it's own. No more lifting the seat. Looks like the seat shock on my
2010 RT is the same size as the one on the 2014, so it will work on all the RT's.
Here's a installation video that I made on it. Just thought that I would pass it on. Cheap upgrade.
Actually I got to looking , and I purchased it off of Amazon, but if you go to Ebay and search Sachs SG359011, there are various prices from about 13-22.00

I am not sure. I have a 2010 & 2014 RT's. The origninal shock is shown in the picture below. If it is the same one on the GS, then I would imagine that it will work too.

I just installed one on my 2011 RT-S. Works fine. Needed the extra force because of the driver's backrest. $11.00 on sale at Pep Boys.

The seat cover should weigh just about the same as a backrest, so it should work. "Should" is the key word.

According to the cross reference, that strut is the replacement for the rear lift glass Ford Bronco II from 1984 to 1990. (If you're going to auto parts store the counter monkey might ask and not be able to check "the book" for a part number.
