    Default Replacement front tires

I have one damaged front tire on my 2015 RS SM5 and I'm looking to replace both fronts to keep them the same. Searching through the forum for replacements, the one to get seems to be the Kumho KH16, in a different size than the standard Kenda 165/55R15. I see 18# was mentioned for these. They are $67 each, before I make the plunge are there better ones out there or any problems with these for my RS, advice?

    Kumho Solus KH16 Radial Tire - 155/60R15

Everyone loves pictures, so here's what an axe can do to a tire at 70mph.

    Default Ooooo...!!🤔

You have a lot to choose from... although the Kendas do a good job up front. I have run two sets and they get great mileage and handle well for me...bummer about the axe....glad you and the spyder managed it as well as you did....

I see them, nice price too. You had no problems? I ordered them up, being from around the corner, I'll just take your advice.

I am running "The Continental Contiprocontact" Size: 165/60 R15 on the front of my 2014RTS-SE6.

I bought them this year. I am happy with them, the spyder handles great in the rain, and on dry roads. I am running them @ 19PSI. Here is are some pictures: New Front Tires ( Continental) 009.jpg New Front Tires ( Continental) 014.jpg Good luck!

We have installed a number of sets of those and have been very happy with them. Then we discovered that the 175/55-15 in the same tire line is actually a better fit. Strangely enough its overall width is actually narrower than the 165 but the tread contact patch is wider due to the better aspect ratio. Diameter of the 175 is an exact match for the factory tire.

There is also a Yokohama 175/55 that I intend to give a try. Good looking tire and would pair well with the Yoko rear.

We do not recommend nor install cheap Chinese tires on bikes. Stick with top tier brands. Not Chinese copies.

Here is an other picture of the Continental Contiprocontact tire on my 2014RTS-SE6: New Front Tires ( Continental) 013.jpg space the same thickness as my finger. Sent pm. Deanna

I do really like the Federal Formoza. It is available in the stock size and I found the handling is much better than the Kenda or the Federal Evo. I bought mine at newegg.com

    Default TIRES WEARING OUT

I have a 2014 RT Limited with 32k miles. The front tires have wear on the inside tread and almost no wear on the outside. I want to replace with Michillen or Bridgestone or Perilli. Can't get the tire guy to change from 165/55 to 175 or 185. Any suggestions? I am about to take a east coast tour and need to get new shoes.

You have a typical alignment issue and should find someone who does the ROLO / Tru Trac LAZER alignments ..... check the HOME page ( SQUARED AWAY ) ......... have the alignment done before you change the tires - otherwise the tires will be ruined ........ There are front tires ( NOT KENDA's ) out there in the OEM size ( or very close ) that you can use without any fitment concerns............ Mike
