    Default VSS code

On our ride yesterday a VSS code came up.
Was able to drive it home after restarting.
Any ideas what the problem might be?

    Default Depends....

most codes come from several sensors and can simply be errors. I have had the VSS code in several occasions and after a computer re-start ( shut down long enough for the computers to reset) the code goes away. In many cases this will be accompanied by a check engine warning. I have found that when ryding long sweeping turns with a little bank, if I don't alter the speed and or change direction or angle I will get this code but it clears and things are fine. I also found that on emergency stops or a slip and slide on gravel or wet will also throw this code that clears. Worry if it does not clear or come back after it has cleared....

    Default VSS Code

I think your reply was right on track. Took a
short ride today after checking the battery
connections and no codes appeared. Might
have been a lose battery cable.
