I'll do a video of the install today if all goes well. We're working on a bracket for the RT too using this setup.

Does the RT have a vibration issues? I've never heard anyone complain about it before.

Got mine installed last night. Much better ride this morning. Easy to install. Less than 30 minutes.

1. Remove the back seat
2. Remove the front seat (two 10mm bolts)
3. Remove side tupperware panels (large and small panels)
4. Remove two 13mm bolts (at mounting location)

6. Put tupperware and seats back on.

+1, They (Pit Bull Powersports) were heads up and ordered a bunch of them to meet an expected demand. Should be a simple two bolt install after the few parts are removed for access. I didn't even contact my dealer as I really didn't want to explain the part, get a quizzical look and then after some fumbling, they would order it and I would have to wait a week. My local dealer are good folks but do not sell that many Spyders to be in the loop of every nuance part availability. It was shipped within an hour of my call from Pit Bull.

stupid ? but i'll ask anyway. to the people that have these. if you have
examined the roller, what kind of bearings are used. the roller is pretty small
and will be travelling at a good rate. will want to try one of these when
adapted for the rt's. hope the y have a long life expectancy . thank you
for any info. irv toms

I installed mine today. Easy install. Was wondering what the belt should be set at with the upgrade? Would you leave it at what the book says or to the lower reading BRP came out with to help with vibration? Doc checked mine in Maggie Valley and it was at the bottom of what the book says.

Wow! Just wanted to give a shoutout to the thread participants and again to Pit Bull Powersports. I got the part in a padded soft mailing pouch this afternoon with a very rapid shipment and am in the process of installing the idler arm. It has taken me a bit more than 30 minutes because I have had to refer to the shop manual to see how to remove the Tupperware without damaging it. Once I figured that out, I simply have those two bolts to deal with that hold the rear footpegs and Lamonster posted a great video on how put the part in easily. For those of us who are a bit more challenged or do not have the service manual, it would have been even more helpful if Lamonster had not skipped the removal of the Tupperware but those of us who are relatively newbies need to learn these procedures. I feel like I am getting to know the Spyder better with each operation.
I completed the install this evening and can't wait to try it out tomorrow morning at the speed where I expected the vibration (68-72 mph) given the tension setting I have on the belt. Again, the only thing I would add to Lamonster's install recommendation was that my relatively short fingers benefited from using some needle nose pliers to guide the locktited two bolts that go into the idler attach plate. Other than that, reassembly was a cinch and I know more about my Spyder than when I started. Great fun!

Just by way of clarification, Capt Bob, Lamont has a zillion (well, that may be an exaggeration....it might only be a million) install videos, many of which show tupperware removal, so it was in the interests of "most" that he didn't include that step in the video.
Good to to see the install went fairly smoothly.
