    Default At wits end

Earlier I spoke of my 2012 RS SE5....not wanting to start...I have removed all the plastic, for easier access and to clean them inside and out....checked for spark...which It does...it will crank without the brake on...today it started ....and ran for about two minutes...will not idle...4000 and up...then it popped through the injectors...I had the air cleaner off ....and then it died....and will not start...fresh gas..fresh battery...checked the fuses and fittings...good spark..

    I hate when this happens...
I remember your earlier thread... but I don't remember if you had changed the fuel filter, and put in fresh fuel. (I will assume for now that you did...)
I'm also assuming that it "loaded-up"... Did you try holding the throttle wide open, and cranking it? That'll clear things out (if that's the problem)

    Default Agree...

are you checking spark with the plugs in or out..? Fouled plugs will spark a yellowIsh spark while a good plug is blue/white. If checking at the cable it will be the same regardless. It would seem you have poor fuel flow if having to hold above 4000. Clogged injectors, bad fuel filter poor gas bad fuel pump...

You might want to check the vacuum hoses on the left side there are two to three inches long they tend to break and leak you might want to replace them with silicone hoses

    Default thanks guys

Having changed the fuel filter yet..the plugs showed a bright white spark...fuel has had an additive added..It should not start without the brake on..downloaded the service manual to my i pad...hate to throw the towel in... but I have 2 months left to my extended warranty ..got some new plugs and wires coming from Ron..debating if I should change them ....or let the shop figure it out...after 4 years I finally found time to learn how to ride and got 1/2 way down the driveway...

I'll take it to the dealer to get it fix. Why pay your warranty if you don't use it. JMHO

    Default to the shop tomorrow

though I didn't buy it from them..they are going to loan me a trailer to bring it to them..their spyder tech is in training.won't be back till next week..
.my extended warranty ends Sunday.. the shop manager said we will work with them and explain the circumstances...either way .. it has to be fixed...this is most certainly not my first bike.. a 1975 BMW RS...which was very easy to work on..Kudos to Polaris of Benton KY..

Here's to hoping that they can find and fix the problem quickly...
Please let us know how this all works out!
