    Cool RT half covers

I'm thinking about a couple half covers for our 2015 RTs for an extended trip next June (including Quebec ). But I'm uncertain of any advantages over a full cover, other than traveling size/weight.
Your experienced opinions are gratefully welcome. Specific product recommendations more than welcome.

My wife and I both had BRP half covers for our RT's. They're very compact and easy to put on/take off. We always used them when we were traveling. I've never used a full cover but it seems like it's big and bulky.

Bought on Amazon: Can Am RT touring cover from Formosa Covers. It came and I love it, fits back into storage bag that I can store in frunk. Lightweight compared to BRP Full cover. I personally like to keep my Spyder fully covered especially when traveling, $50 plus shipping. No problem with returns if you don't like it.

I agree. I have both BRP covers. Use the half all the time when travelling, keeps rain and dew out and some security from nosey folks. Only use full cover when I trailer and rain is predicted.

I got the UltraGard half cover on Amazon. Easy on & off. Has a liner for the windshield area.

    Default Half cover for sure

We recently got caught riding by the rain, but we ended up putting on the half cover, going to lunch and waiting out the rain squall. Then we sat on a DRY seat and rolled on. It also keeps the dew off in the mornings.

, But if you have luggage racks, the BRP 1/2 cover will not work. Get the Ultraguard

BRP's full cover; fills an entire side storage compartment...
With just the half-cover: you can also pack your raingear in with it!

I use the Nelson Rigg half cover when on the road, and it fits with the rear luggage rack also.

    Default 1/2 cover

I have half cover, It protects the windshield, from getting scratched. It has a soft lining on the inside. Also, it can be used to deter people from setting on your spyder( when you are in stores).

The half cover does not take-up much room. I store mine in the frunk.

I have an Ultra Guard half cover for my RT. When I purchased my 2012 RSS, the previous owner had a full cover that worked really great and covered the entire bike. Since my bikes stay garaged and I only use the covers when on trips, I gave the full RS cover to a fellow local RS owner. He needed it to keep the cats off his bike, and the half cover that I have for my RT will work for the RS when on trips. He has a taller windshield that I have my eyes on, so it should work out for both of us since he doesn't like the taller windshield.

Default Uing FULL and HALF covers...

... when we travel. I like to cover the whole ryde. It sorta hides the bike and keeps the curious from being too bold to look underneath since they would have to move a lot of the cover. Protects the tupperware in a hotel parking lot. We also use a half cover when we are camping since we are so close to the bike and just want to keep the dew off. Both are UltraGard and fold up into small bags - each fits easily in the trunk with room for other gear.

    Ryde, eat, sleep.... repeat
