    Default 2017 F3-S includes 12 volt SAE battery tender connector

    So I was running some electrical this weekend on my 2017 F3-S and found a pig tail wired to the battery. I thought that was odd for a factory fresh bike so I followed it and found it went to an SAE connector for a standard battery tender. It was zip tied just under the panel that covers the coolant tank and buds hookup... ON the buds side.

    Did they do this on the 2015 and 2016 models too?

    I know that there are dealers that install the battery cable for the tenders/heated gear, pre sale...

    Many dealers install those as part of initial assembly. I have never seen one on a new bike from BRP.

    Yup, Honda Can Am of Winston-Salem has on on every new Spyder out the door.

    Default extra battery cable

    My 2016 F3-T SE6 came with one. When I saw it I thought it was for something else. I pretty much have had every cover off except the saddlebags.

    One of the first things I do when I get something with a battery is put one of those on. I have two Battery Minders and well over a dozen batteries to keep charged/("tend" ). Makes doing the battery chores a lot easier.
