    RS model around 2010 semi auto battery died stuck in reverse ...how do you get it out of reverse .... Friend just got his wife Spyders .... Haven't looked at it always know where to get great info ...

    I haven't seen you in a while... Glad that you stopped by!

    Under the LH side of the bike, up near where you can get to the oil tank: you should see a hexagonal rod that is hooked up to the "shifting bits". It was designed so that you could put a wrench on it, and shift the transmission... (Although I forget which way you might need to turn it... )

    my rt has what looks like a shifter shaft . can we do th same thing
    if God forgive, we ever have to ? irv

    Use a 13 mm open end wrench. There is one in the toolkit. Put the wrench on the flats on the back of the shift lever.

    But why do you need to get it into neutral at all? It will roll in gear. When you charge, change or boost the battery and start the engine. It will shift into neutral on it's own.
