Check your battery connections, the DPS consumes the bulk of the electrical power used by the Spyder.

Press Mode, Set and Turn Cancel buttons. All at the same time. Tell us what codes come up.

You may want to download the free app spyderCodes, available at the Play Store or App Store.

Can anyone clarify, why connecting and external battery charger could cause this code?

    (
    Battery failure; an
    external battery charger

Two days ago I hooked up my battery tender. This morning, I disconnected it ( it has the quick plug and go type connector) and started the bike. The check engine light came on and I got the handle bar warning light. Checked and got the P0562 code. I checked voltage not running and it is 12.86. Running it is 14.26. Perfect I would say. I shut it off, restart and all is fine for about a minute, then it comes on again. Tried disconnecting battery for a bit, that didn't help. Any ideas? Thanks guys. Enjoy reading this forum. The operators manual covers charging, replacing and boosting, but no mention it will start throwing codes.

Sounds useful, but the app shows as $15.99 in the Apple App Store. Is this correct?

SpyderCodes now costs for Apple phones, but atm is still free for Android phones...

But we have been told that the next upgrade means it will cost for Android phones too! However, that doesn't take away from the fact that it'll still be Cheap at twice the price! It is a very useful & handy app that can save you a lot of worry & dollars!
