There are a few 998's out there with 100,000 miles. At 26K, the 998 is just getting broke in well. Also keep in mind, the average person puts about 3,000 miles on in a year. That's potentially 25 years of service if you are "average."

I don't think the 998 is going to crash and burn any time soon.

I have a 2013 STL and love it. (Just got back from a 100 mile ride, some of it in the rain.) I wouldn't hesitate to buy soothe, but $13k might be a little high. Depends on the year, warranty, and farkle.

Floorboard Lights and Turn Signals (I like to be seen)
Passenger Armrests (So my wife doesn't fall off)
Trailer Hitch (So we can bring more stuff with us)
Chrome Wheels (Because the beautiful stock wheels just weren't good enough)
Front Fender Sequential Reflector Lights (I was wondering what to do with my paycheck)

Where I come from that's 25 years at 3000 miles a year. Maybe that's that new math?

Typo fixed above. 75,000/3,000 = 25. Good catch.

I have put 28,000 miles on my 2014 ST-L and it is running great. Haven't had any issues at all. I did have the hose leak for the antifreeze but that's it. I put on about 90 miles a day going to work round trip. I'm not concerned in the least about taking it anywhere....besides oil changes and new tires. It is a good solid bike.

My 2014 ST Limited traveled throughout Canada and the Midwest USA last year. Almost 24,000 km. Piece of cake and never looked back.

My wife has 56k on her 2012
    I have 27k on my 2013
My son in law has 43k on his 2013
And my daugter just 18k on her 2014...

...nothing special to report outside of vacuum hoses, and rear fender tearing up BECAUSE of out of round read kenda tire on the 2012. Also a blow out on my 2013 ST front kenda, that they never succeeded to balance properly from day one. Three attemps, and I tried with beads, to no avail. Do I trust kenda tires? ....guess......
