The announcement in the OP is for the CTX700, not the Goldwing. That makes this offering more of a competitive offering to Tilting Motor Works conversion for Harleys. Motortrike some time ago came out with the same basic conversion as this one for the 'wing.

That would be the Neowing. Wonder what the status of that concept is, if anything much has happened since the Tokyo Motor Show where it was displayed.

    Hi Ron,

Re: Front delivery Ice Cream Cart?

Easy big fella, I spent a portion of one summer riding a Cushman with a front-mounted cooler, selling ice cream.

I like the big ol wheels, but not the big ol front. It reminds me of a riding lawnmower.
It would be interesting to ride one and see the differences in handling.

That is what I don't like. The nose looks like a box.

It is an am kit and not a Honda product...
with regards to the lawsuit.. the time limit on that production has ended years ago.. Honda has just never made a three wheeler because they didn't want the liability.. but they now could if they wanted

    Default Honda ?

You can be sure if Honda decides to jump into the 3 wheel (2 in front)
it will look a hell of a lot better than the one here that one looks like a
    Honda pushing a coffin.

Motor Trike Announces Trike for Honda CTX700 Motorcycle Models

    2016-08-08: For Immediate Release

(TROUP, Texas) Motor Trike, Inc. announces the release of its second reverse trike conversion kit. The "Hornet RT," as named by Motor Trike, converts the Honda CTX700 motorcycle into an unprecedented, automatic trike, adaptable for new bike-to-trike riders.
With the cost-sensitive MSRP of the CTX700 motorcycle, the Hornet RT trike conversion offers an accessible cruising option at an affordable value. The Hornet RT trike kit offers a high-performance Independent Front Suspension—or IFS—design that is set up for optimal ride quality, and one-to-one steering for great driving response, handling, and turning radius. The kit’s ABS-integrated disc brakes provide great stopping power and ultimate control for the rider. Meanwhile, the Hornet RT’s low and wide body lines create a sporty and aggressive look, making the trike conversion a stylistic departure from traditional trike bodies.
Motor Trike's IFS system equips riders with a new experience free of hesitation in comparison to other offerings in the reverse trike market. The Hornet RT also offers riders the convenience of over 8.5 cubic feet of total storage space with a 12-volt power source in-trunk to maximize their travel experience. The trunk door design utilizes hidden external hinges that do not occupy the interior storage space, therefore eliminating helmet scratches or other cargo damage, and features a door-mounted light that makes accessing trunk items more convenient. The Hornet RT offers a host of standard features and available options that riders can customize for a Motor Trike truly fitted for them.
Motor Trike is currently taking orders for the Hornet RT at $7,995.00 per conversion kit. All trike kits include Motor Trike’s three-year/60,000-mile warranty.
The Hornet RT is available through Authorized Motor Trike Dealers. Customers may locate their nearest dealers to order:www.motortrike.com/TrikeDealerLocator.aspx.
The Hornet RT trike will also be on display at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally (Aug. 8 - 14).

    Push...
The CTX700 with the DCT is rated at a bit over 46 horsepower.

    Default Playing With The Math...

So you can buy a brand-new CTX700 with the DCT for about $8000. Add another $8000 for the kit...
(Forget about the labor for a moment...)

...and you might as well buy either a leftover RS, ST, or F3!

I was visiting with my BRP/Honda dealer earlier this summer. He says Honda at working on a 1,300 cc reverse trike leaner. He didn't offer up much info on what he knows, but he says it has a lot of the same specs as their ST 1300 sport touring bike.

I have a 2015 ctx 700 dct and a 16 f3l . I like the dual clutch and the power to rate ratio of 46 hp to 500 lbs. I believe that the triked ratio of 46 hp to 790 lbs would not be ok for most riders. Add on large front mass, chain drive and lack of electronics along with cost of kit plus labor would not suit me. Even the new St 1300 is not the same engine as the prior st's. HP is much less and the frames of both are completely designed for different purposes. I have done 400 mile days on the ctx and feel better on the three 700 mile days on my F3. Love both ctx and f3 for different reasons. 2015 leftover ctx 700 can be bought for around $6500 in my area (Columbus, Ga.
