You Can't. Turn the bike on and by the time you put your helmet on it will be ready, then start it, let it warm up for a minute and then go ryde it.

Because its computer controlled and the computer must boot up first. Same reason as why can't you just turn your computer on and start typing. Windows has to boot up first. That's a simplistic answer, but basically the reason.

Well....
Apparently they have gotten better and if you can get the police model you don't have that issue at all...so as they said above...turn it on put your helmet on hit mode and start it. It will not happen like when you stop for gas or short periods of time cause it take the computer time to shut down as well. So if you catch it before it shuts down it will start right up....

There's no need to wait on the F3. Turn the key, hit the mode button and press the starter.
Try it, you'll like it.

you mean like turn -the -key and go like NOW??? like the cheapest car sold in America???
okay, sit in your gridlocked traffic jam with your fan blowing for 20 minutes at zero MPH.
Nooo... shut it off, environmentally friendly etc.
Traffic starts to move. Now explain to the 10.000 motorists behind you that you THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLAR cycle
needs to "have a moment" that'll earn you some friends.
someone said the F3 is "better", "try it". I have tried supporting all my weight on my tailbone and don't like it, I am
so big that I need my legs to support some of my weight.
I would look at a "new" RT though, if they ever get sane with the starting drill. I really do love my RT, but....

No wait 2016 RTS
Purchased a 2016 RTS. Turn the key on, foot on brake pedal, bike is in neutral, push mode button and starter and bingo it starts up. I have never looked or read the pull out safety card. I,m looking for a good use for it. Thats as quick as it needs to be. Bob

You can avoid the wait by leaving the ignition on and use the kill switch. Headlights turn off like usual but other lights and audio stay on.

I think BRP has more respect for their "home" customers. If someone demonstrates that on a US RT, then I'll go look at one.

As far as the safety card thing is concerned.
It's one of those things you just have to accept.

On the F3S, as soon as the gauges start the sweep function right after you turn on the key, you can press the mode button and then the start button and it will start immediately without waiting for the message.
I normally turn on the ignition and wait for the gauge sweep to start and then hit mode, parking brake off and start in that sequence.

Their have been other posts from both countries that this works on the 2016 RT. Go to a dealer and try it. Sorry to say I have not been able to confirm this with any other owners as Spyders are few and far around here on the Island and when ever I see one its going the other way on the road. Hope you find what you want. Bob.
PS Some dealers may not even know as they don't have a clue.

I'm just glad the Spyder doesn't use Windows as it's OS platform. You'd turn the key on, than go finish breakfast while it boots. up.
