I have a 2014 RTS and would like some discriptions of where many of you have run your battery tender wire for easy access.
Thanks
LNM
I plug mine in the power port in the trunk so I don't have a pigtail installed. I changed the port to be hot all the time (takes five minutes to change it).

Just make sure that you move the fuse that's in Position #6 (In the right side fuse panel!), over into position #7.
That makes it Hot all of the time, and ready to take in some juice from your Battery Tender!
(I just performed that task today...)
I have a fused SAE pigtail behind the zippered flap in the frunk that goes directly to the battery. The pig tail fuse is the same as that of my emergency compressor which also has an SAE plug. Two options for the price of one.

otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

I am not exactly sure what the plug looks like that you plug into the port. Where do you get something that plugs in and still has the connector for the battery tender.
Easy peasey!
It's just your typical 12 volt plug-in connector; the same type that you'd plug into the cigarette lighter in your car...
Battery Tender sells them...
I also think that Radio Shack does also.
I bought my cig plug at Wal Mart...most auto parts stores sell them and they hook on your battery tender wire...I plug Mr. Cognac in each day after riding....as I do Punkin, my GW. They love it.
I traded my 2014 RT for a 2017 Mr. White RT-S. I am George Lewis. I live two miles from Boerne, TX. I am 89, retired USAF and Sony Corp. I also have a GW MotorTrike. My email: scoot62@aol.com

If you have not been to Luckenbach, your journey is not complete.
As others have mentioned, the 12v cigarette lighter style plug in the trunk is a super easy spot to use.
To make the outlet powered 100% of the time you swap a fuse from one spot to the spot beside it. Something remove fuse 5 and install in in fuse holder 6. I forget the actual locations but someone will post it.
I personally prefer the Battery Minder brand. So I purchased the Battery Minder, and at the same time I purchased the cigarette style adapter. These easily join with the Battery Minder installed connectors.
Upon completing a ride, open trunk, plug the Battery Minder into 110v extension cord, then plug the Battery Minder into the Spyder. Super easy and no extra wires or connections required. I purchased these items from Northern Tool.
If you want the universal pigtail, that is directly mounted on the battery, those are available also. Normally owners leave the wire hanging loose inside the frunk.
I ran a quick connect wire to the battery terminals. The quick connect end of the wire is in my Frunk. All I do is open the Frunk at the end of the day and plug it in, then gently close the lid onto the wire. Very simple to do.

It is really nice when putting the rtl away for the winter but yet want a .75 charge maintainer on it. Going to attached a power outlet to the lead for the frunk. It is great to pass ideas along to all the great riders. Remember, be safe on the roads and have fun!

The dealer places on near the front left A-Arm when they setup a new bike. I added another inside the frunk up near the top where it is easy to get to. I only use it when in the garage.

Pam
did the same things to mine..More of a direct connection to the battery while charging.
I have a heated vest. I installed the hook up for it under the seat, with the end hanging out beside my left leg and the other end to the battery. While riding in cooler weather I use it for my vest, and then when I get home, plug in my battery tender instead. Killed two birds.
Mine is located inside the zippered pocket inside the FRUNK.
THE ONLY issue I have and it really isn't an issue- is when I park my Spyder (2015 RT Limited) I lift the frunk gasket and slip the tender lead from the electrical plug under the gasket and then into the pocket and connect the pigtail there. No issues and I can close my Frunk and all is well.

The 2016 f3 already has the pigtails hooked up to the battery, just pull frunk liner out and it is there.
Hmmm... Maybe your dealer installed one for you? I don't have one on mine. My wife's F3 Limited doesn't have one either.

I agree, dual purpose and as easy to use as the truck connector. Plus you you don't have a source that's hot when ign. Is off.
When I got my 2015 RTL the dealer had the pigtail zip tied under the left front wheel well. Just enough room to plug in my tender at the end of the day without opening up anything else.
