Ok, you guys have been right on so far, now new problem putting my hitch on my 2012
So I got the hitch on,, thanks for the help, only thing I did was having to jack back up to spin tire backwards to put the belt on after I got the axle in, took it for a test ride, rode fine out of driveway then went to limp mode with abs, vss codes. What could I have done to cause this? And how can I correct it? Thanks for the help

It's too bad you purchased a hitch that required the removal of the axle to install. But too late now that you already installed it.
You have done something with the rear wheel sensor. Possibly damaged the wire. By letting the brake caliper hang or the swing arm hang. If you removes the sensor from the brake caliper bracket. Maybe put it back together with the wrong amount of shims.
First step is to inspect the sensor and see if there is anything visibly wrong. Then check the gap between the sensor and the reluctor ring.

check to make certain the rear wheel sensor is aligned over the slots in the wheel disc

Never touch any of that stuff on the brake system pull axle out and put hitch plate on, with that said I could have bumped something, what does the brake sensor look like?

For anyone else reading this thread interested in a hitch. I think this is a better choice. For $20 more and you do not need to remove the axle to install or remove the hitch.
