Has anyone installed a throttle kill switch (dead mans switch) on the F3
The standard MPS tether kill switch will not fit on the F3's 1" wide handlebar. Most handle bars are 3/4". If anyone has installed the tether kill switch pls let me know how you did it--photo if possible, mfg model of switch mount or additional hardware used to mount the switch body to the 1" handlebar.
Thank you for your assistance.

.........Try the DENNISKIRK.COM catalog for snow-mobiles, they have what you want ...I found two that had an arm that you would use to mount it to an existing bolt instead of the handlebar ....in case there wasn't room to mount it, they had tethers .....Mike

Really! Handy if you fall off in the snow.

Me too !!
My immediate thought was that the OP is unaware of the kill switch, but there may be other motivations for the dead man switch.
I'd like to know what they might be.
If it ain't broke, don't break it.

Safety Device
I have a friend that either fell asleep or had a brain fart (his words) and fell off his Spyder when he hit a curb - Spyder kept going went across road over another curb across another 2 lanes and finally stopped when it hit a tree. Fortunate that this took place at 2AM and no traffic.
He was knocked out in middle of road (a car stopped and called 911) - fortunately happy ending - he and Spyder are both fine and back in action - Insurance: Spyder repair ($1K) and emergency room for him.
Sh*t happens - such a device might have kept the Spyder from crossing over lanes and potentially causing another accident.

I think you need to loosen the seat belt on you recliner, it too tight. Fuzzing up your thinking.

If he fell off, the throttle returns to zero. Adding a dead man switch would do no more than letting go of the throttle already does. Its not going to apply the brakes.

If I fell off my spyder while riding that's the last thing I would be concerned about, that's what insurance is for.

Those things don't matter to the "race director official" I guess somewhere in the past an on track accident occurred which jammed the throttle in the open position & a run away bike can damage other people & things. It's a rule that can not be argued--have one installed or get off the track..
