    Question LED Fog Rings anyone?

I've seen the LED fog ring sets from TRICLED and also Lamonster and I'm wondering if anyone here has installed them on their F3?

It says when placing the fog rings on the cap where the fog lights would normally go, to notch out the corner for the wire to feed through and to use the dielectric grease on the electrical fittings/connections.

    Anyone installed these yet?
Any insights or thoughts about the amount of light these rings put out?
Any advantages to using the bullet wire connectors versus the lever lock connectors? Your opinion?
Please share your Pro's and Con's.

Thank you in advance for sharing!!!

I installed them over my OEM fog lights. Reggy told me I'm the first person he's encountered that has OEM fog lights. Does anyone else have them?

Anyway, the "standard" install wouldn't be quite the same in my application. I'll let others answer about that. I also have the LED Cyclops light from Spyder Pops, so I ended up tying in the connection for the LED rings into the cyclops connection which had the lever action connector -- it was easy to add the new wires into it.

The Lamonster install took less than 30 minutes and so far the lever lock system is what I prefer.

If you got 50 for that price, you scored. I've not found them for less than 20 for $7 shipped.

    Nevertheless, I did order some.

Unfortunately, I am unable to say the same thing for the Fog Ring kit I just installed on my F3 from another seller.

A word of caution on those connectors.
In my batch of 20 units 6 were not electrically conductive.
The negative wire was mis-soldered on them and didn't conduct juice.
The wire end was held on to the connector pin with melted wire insulation.

The ones from china are cheap copies of the real wago connectors.

You will be lucky if half of them actually work when you receive them in 6 weeks from china.

Buy the real ones from Newark or other electrical supply and save your self a bunch of trouble.

Yep, most of the electrical stuff I got from China for a 'better' price turned out to be grade A crap. Most of the stuff now resides in the local dump. I won't buy anything from there from now on.

Yes, first hand. they are cheap chinese copies of the real german Wago connectors. Phoenix Connector also makes a similar connector here in the US.
